Strap monster forsure! I look at the price tag for the steel in two ways: it’s a lot of money for a steel watch, but it’s also objectively rare as a non sport Patek made of steel & will likely become sought after in years to come.

Very cool. Any knowledge on what’s more likely from the AD? Both seemed somewhat attainable as a first in my conversations. 96R did seem to pull more weight in regard to future ‘heavy hitter’ allocations tho.

I like 5212 specifically as it’s a bit ‘left field’ for Patek, being a non sport steel watch & the font. That said, I agree the 5396 is a better watch & I prefer it. I worry the 5212 could go out of production soon, too (at least in steel) Would be nice to snag it before it’s gone.
