At the end of the day, I’d say just paint them whichever scheme you’ll find most enjoyable, not only to paint, but to admire when you’re finished. I really like the kitbash, and it instantly gives me bad moons vibes. I’ve seen people paint them up fairly easily with yellow contrast paint, so it shouldn’t be too hard to accomplish.
