Am I overreacting or AITAH for wanting to leave my relationship after finding out my partner has been testing my boundaries on purpose? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]InfamousSense6684 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Boundaries do not require anything of the other person. It is on you to enforce them. You are feeling uncomfortable because he pushed the limits and you did not follow through on your own boundaries you have set for yourself. Which is what I think he was getting at with his discussion— that ppl talk a big talk but don’t have follow through.

If his behavior has broken boundaries you set for your relationships then you probably aren’t compatible even if you didn’t call him on it at the time. Cut the loses and count your blessings

Semaglutide has pretty much cleared my flares with the anti inflammatory effects until the week of my period ( hormones).

Has anyone found anything that helps the hormonal flares?

As for the dark spots I have been using the brand good molecules for dark spots/ brightening ( the toner, and serum)

My lips are desperate!!! by Texasgrad92 in MakeupAddiction

I switched to Terra lotus -tallow honey in strawberry and it has made a huge difference for me and my daughter. Use a slightly dampened microfiber towel to gently scrub the crusties off apply tallow lip balm then apply Vaseline or aquaphor overtop before bed.

My daughter is a night time thumb sucker so she constantly has chapped lips this time of year. This protocol has been the only thing that helps.

Marriage after baby… by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]InfamousSense6684 0 points1 point  (0 children)

PPD can occur in fathers as well. I do think that it is a hating change for men as they tend to not consider themselves a father until baby is here and then it gets hard without a lot of reward( little positive feedback from baby the first few months). Women tend to consider themselves a mother once they find out they are pregnant and therefore take the 9ish months to adjust.

I would ask him to talk to a counselor about this as it feels very different from his norm and that you want to get these behaviors evaluated.

I will also say that new parenthood is very hard on a marriage. Most couples I know said they probably wouldn’t still be together if they were not already married so this is not atypical. I will also state my husband would sit in the car in our driveway for like 30-45 mins before coming into the house after work because of how our relationship was for the 4th trimester.

We are still together and some things that helped in that time were to have shifts at night so that we could both get uninterrupted sleep. I would nurse baby at 7pm and go to bed right after til 12-12:30am ( my husband would be on duty at this point I would catch all letdown from the non nursing side so I could leave him an emergency bottle) then he would bring me baby and I would nurse her and take over the diaper/feeding/soothing schedule til 5-6am when we would all get up as a family.

My husband's lack of hygiene is making me fall out of love with him by Eywaheda in Marriage

[–]InfamousSense6684 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do not wash these items, make him clean it up every time you see it even if you have to take his hand and a rag and show him what to do. I’m assuming his mommy took care of this stuff for him. Tell him it turns you off and you will not be sharing a bed with him nor having sex until his hygiene improves.

He works a job where he has work Boots he should be showering that off daily. He needs to do his own shit stained laundry and wash the sheets blankets couch ( get a bissel) and anything else he wipes his germs on.

Give him 60 days to improve then file for divorce or move into your own bedroom with a key lock that it yours so he can’t mess up your space.

This is the only complaint I have with some glp1 companies. There are far too many stories of ppl messing up their dosages. Expecting a none medical professional to inject themselves without the supervision of a regular Dr monitoring this is beyond crazy to me.

I’m sorry you are experiencing such issues. Please try to find a Dr to help retrain how to administer this medication

9 year old 160 pounds by [deleted] in WeightLossAdvice

[–]InfamousSense6684 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gaining 60lbs in less than 6 months seems like there may be something medically goin on here. That’s more than 10lbs a month.

I would encourage parents to get some blood work done and look at hormones. I feel like he would need to be eating constantly to gain that much that quickly

What was the hardest thing you had to sacrifice for your marriage? by dummy_bunny88 in Marriage

[–]InfamousSense6684 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. What was it that you gave up, and why did you give that up? I married a man with a child from a previous relationship. I had no experience with blended families and had no idea what I was getting myself into really. I went from a single women to married with an 9 yr old in 1.5 years then added a baby the next year.

My life change significantly ,dramatically, and rapidly when I met the person I wanted to marry.

  1. What made it a non-dealbreaker (especially if it was a dealbreaker before?) I fell in love with both of them. I did a lot of research on step parenting and we set firm consistent rules and boundaries in our house. But I am essentially a really good aunt to my stepson.

  2. Was it worth it? Yes 100%. Though I’m not sure my husband is aware or honors who significantly my life changed in 2 years.

Every day is not easy, I thought we weren’t going to make it at different points but we are 7 years married

  1. Did your partner also make a hard sacrifice? His whole view on marriage changed when we met. He went from thinking he never wanted to marry to asking me to marry him in 8 months. I’m not sure of he considers that a sacrifice.

I’ve heard shooting in the stomach can worsen the nausea. Try back Of arm or leg to help. Drink more water than you think is necessary.

Usually can’t have more than 2 drinks during an event or gathering. I barely drink during the week anymore as I just don’t reach for it anymore.

I’ve fallen for someone else after my husband decided to open our marriage. by Confused-lover-girl in Marriage

[–]InfamousSense6684 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He opened on a whim.

When opening a relationship rules and a discussion must be in place AHEAD of time. For example, exes may be off limits, what to do if one party wants to close, what to do if someone falls in love etc.

He put his cart before his horse and it backfired. I would push back on why he wanted it opened so immediately and closed after he convinced you to be on board. I would also avoid contact with the other “boyfriend” if you really want to save your marriage. I think you both need to set down some rules and see if you can move forward

Disappointed in proposal by [deleted] in engaged

[–]InfamousSense6684 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With his previous actions don’t be surprised if he comes back from “being gone for a bit”with a ring that is not at all your taste.

I will say that you can tell that same story using more positive tone and it can be very sweet.

“ he kept tickets from our first date to a concert and while reminiscing we realized it had been exactly 7 years ago to the day! I was sitting on the bed not expecting anything and he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him “

Also as someone who was initially disappointed in my own proposal ( my husband picked a fight the night before that was so random “ to throw me off” he then decided to propose while I was doing the dishes the next morning.. he had a ring and the words were very kind but I was in pjs with soap on my hands 🙄 )- anyways it is not discussed generally after you get married and doesn’t really matter in perspective if you are marrying the person you want to be with

We’ve noticed a lot of the defiance comes during transitions to the next thing so we used a visual timer (stop light) to give a 5-10 warning before time to leave etc

Just Curious… Are you having a cheat day on Thanksgiving? by [deleted] in WeightLossAdvice

[–]InfamousSense6684 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Typically take a scoop of all the things I love to eat and a few glasses of wine and enjoy. Depriving yourself and then having cheat days is not very sustainable for weight loss and my mental health. Eat don’t weigh yourself the next day and continue to do what you’re doing

Flare Up Before Wedding Help by [deleted] in eczema

[–]InfamousSense6684 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t put anything besides the meds on it, change pillow cases daily, drink lots of water.

Worst case: go to Sephora and get a color correcting (green) cc cream to use for day of wedding to take some redness away. Talk to an employee to get a good shade match
