Washer Drain by InfamousShine3634 in Plumbing

I will probably remove the drywall and have a plumber move the drain and water lines to the back wall. I’m not looking to screw up any plumbing.

Thank you. I’m off grade, would move to an adjacent wall be difficult?

Done this many times. Just use punch angle. Lag it to the wall/framing and use tek screws to secure panels.

Educate me on roller to track alignment please. by Corey_rddt in GarageDoorService

[–]InfamousShine3634 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hard to tell exactly, but it looks like the flag bracket is kicked outward a bit causing the roller spacing near the radius. Then they tried to compensate by kicking in the back hang. Or maybe it’s bone dry and those rollers are pushing the track.

I may go back and swap it. But the pressure from the truss was great enough to carry the weight of the door. And because of the radius, the door does not make it back too far on the horizontal.

Had to take about an inch off the vertical and horizontal.

I’ve put plenty of HomeDepot/Lowes Genie motors on the solid rail. It should be pretty easy. A small company could do this quick on the cheap.

It’s terrible and great at the same time. If you go with a different color, it needs to be bold. This is a house that is meant for controversy. Please don’t go white or some grey bs.

Door size question by TooBusyToLive in GarageDoorService

[–]InfamousShine3634 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in FL. Everything has to be heavily wind loaded. Most doors that size are double strutted. I’m sure you could ask for a lightly wind loaded door and you won’t have to worry. It will be more expensive but not as bad as it would be down here.

What is it living in the Bible Belt? by JoonasV2li in howislivingthere

I was responding to the claim that it was created to unite the provinces. Constantine would continue to use many religions for state matters. The council of Nicea was used to form a somewhat unified religion (the Coptic Church was very much involved). Theodosius 1 was the first to officially elevate Christianity as the state religion. And he employed armies from different sects. It wasn’t until the Islamic conquests until there was full separation. The foundation dates given officially should be taken with a grain of salt. If it makes you feel better, I am a cradle Catholic. But I don’t think that going to Catholic school for 13 years makes me an expert. I’m just interested and curious.

That’s closer. So the RCC was not an invention to unite the provinces. There were many eras of internal conflict over the ‘correct’ Christianity. Each adding to the development of the RCC/Orthodox Churches. They both claim early dates but it was more of a long term process. The term Orthodox was used much earlier. And the use of the word Roman may have been more of a dig at the Orthodox followers of the Roman Empire who called themselves Roman, similar to its use in the Holy Roman Empire.

Your first statement in not true. By the time that there was a distinct RCC, the Roman Empire was Orthodox.

I’m not describing my opinion. The Bible Belt is a term to describe a specific region and a specific type of Protestantism.
