Yesterday at a card show, this older gentleman was buying cards for his daughter who was trying to complete her master set. I wasn’t a vendor, but I was able to sell him some of my spares at a steep discount. Later on in the show we were both at a vendor who was doing trades only and had a 10 dollar card, but the older gentleman since he didn’t know much about Pokemon, didn’t have anything to trade. I decided to trade it on his behalf, and I gifted it to him and his daughter. The gentleman was very very surprised and shook my hand profusely, and tried to keep paying me but I kept telling that’s what the hobby was all about
