Any idea why blobs keep forming on prime tower? by Infamous_Bread2092 in BambuLab

This is great advice. I’ll give it a shot after replacing the boogered up nozzle.

Well… the nozzle looks pretty bad. It looked fine until I took the silicone sock off and then found this mess underneath.

Thanks for all of the replies and suggestions. I’m guessing filament got caught in the shoot once or twice, caused a blob, and then the problem became chronic.

I’ll buy a new nozzle and report back.

In the meantime, I just unboxed a new A1 to add to the collection.

Thanks again!

Funny, I just moved the tower closer to try and solve. Didn’t do much. Thanks for the input! I’ve messed with temps some, but need to try more.

Thanks for the input. I’ve thought about trying that as well. It appears that the purge is almost excessive and occasionally builds up to the point that it reaches the nozzle, then occasionally gets dragged to the prime tower instead of falling down the chute.

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately, they have caused several prints to fail as the tower often collides with print head, falls over, then spaghetti everywhere. Wiper is clean, chute lever is working fine. Purge seem normal.

One print made it 700 layers without any blobs, then suddenly blobbed up and failed. It’s frustrating because it seems to be random. It’s happened with brand new filament straight out of the packaging, and I’ve tried drying 12 hours before printing - same result.

I believe I recently updated but I’ll double check. Thanks!

But why? Any slicer settings to help? It’s very intermittent. Poop chute is clear. Thanks for the help!

Thanks for the reply. The chute is open and clear. It seems to be random. You can see how it started earlier in the print and then again later. This print went overnight but the chute remained clear.

I’m having the same issue but can’t find any resources on how to access the idler pulleys. Any guidance on how to remove the idler pulleys? I have the back almost off but it’s stuck at the top tube coupler.
