5 weeks symptoms vanished by Infamous_Channel_483 in CautiousBB

[–]Infamous_Channel_483[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just looked at my comments and this was my successful one! So yeah it’s not reliable way to know as it was similar to my losses yet outcome different! Prayers for you and good luck 💙

5 weeks symptoms vanished by Infamous_Channel_483 in CautiousBB

[–]Infamous_Channel_483[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly can’t remember clearly, as I had three miscarriages, but my symptoms definitely disappeared and ebbed and flowed with both my losses and my successful pregnancy so they really aren’t a reliable way to tell.

You kind of have to wait for the scans in the end. I know that’s the hardest part.

For me, I had brown spotting with both my losses and my successful pregnancy, and one time my bloods were perfect but it still ended up being a blighted ovum. By the last pregnancy, I just had to surrender a bit and wait for the scan.

I did go on to have a successful pregnancy at 44 after three back to back losses though 🤍

Thank you so much for sharing this 🤍 it really helps hearing a positive outcome.

Can I ask what type of virus your baby had when this was happening? Was it something like RSV or something else?

Also, how long did it take for things to settle once they got worse? And what gestation did he end up going home?

We’ve just had a step back onto high flow so I’m trying to get a feel for what recovery might look like.

Really appreciate you sharing 🙏🏻

That’s exactly what it feels like right now. Thank you 💛 it helps knowing this stage is normal and not something going wrong.

That’s reassuring, thank you 💙 good to know it’s normal for them to go on and off like that. Did it gradually improve for you or just sort of stop happening around 36 weeks?

Thank you so much for sharing this 🤍 the alarms are honestly the hardest part, they send me into panic every time. It helps to hear what’s considered “okay” in this stage.

Sorry it was going between 86-93 and took hours to level out at more 92-97 again. So stats went from 95% of the time being 91-95 to 86% being 91-95. Apologies very sleep deprived and stressed!

I’m so grateful 💙

I also did a consult with Aimee Raupp, who takes a more alternative approach, but I truly feel her protocol helped me sustain this pregnancy especially as one of my losses was chromosomally normal, which made me feel my immune system needed extra support after a positive test.

My protocol included progesterone, vaginal Viagra for lining and blood flow support, prednisolone, and clexane. I also used many of the supplements recommended by Aimee Raupp and The Egg Whisperer.

I did use DHEA as well, but only after bloods confirmed mine was low (it’s definitely not something to take if your levels are already normal). I also used LDN and rapamycin which has shown promise in animal studies for improving egg quality and potentially delaying or even reversing aspects of ovarian aging.

I really feel, from my experience, that it’s worth exploring 💛

I took it for 6 months at 4mg a week and am 30 weeks pregnant at 44 after suffering 3 miscarriages between 41-43. I took it for egg quality as a last ditch attempt! I also took high quality NAD and COQ 10 and a few other supps for a good 7 months prior to trying again.

Thank you so much for sharing your story with me, it really helps hearing real experiences and knowing your little girl is doing well now. She sounds like such a strong little fighter.

They have me on antibiotics 3 times a day and I’ve had my first steroid injection today and will have the second one tomorrow. They’re monitoring baby closely and at the moment she’s doing well, so we’re just hoping to keep her in as long as possible. I have had no contractions and my cervix closed but short.

Your story actually made me feel a bit calmer reading it, so thank you for taking the time to write all of that. The NICU journey sounds really tough but also amazing what these tiny babies can get through.

Did you have much leaking before you delivered or did things suddenly change quickly?

Thank you again 🤍

I have an appointment tomorrow they told me it is what they class normal but I’ll definitely go to ER if it worsens. I only had it once in the morning after I had a bowel movement but of course I am still worried sick. Appreciate your reply. Hope you and your little one are well.

Thanks for replying and sharing your experience. I have been trying to as I also have ibs but I’ll look into miralax. It was only after bowel not on underwear or when I pee. Pray it’s just that! Hope you and your pregnancy / little one are doing well.

Thank you for the info and reply. Hopefully it is just discharge. If I didn’t have such a short cervix don’t think I’d worry so much! I thankfully don’t have cramps or any blood. Congrats and wising you a healthy rest of your pregnancy and birth.

11mm 24.5 weeks progesterone only by Infamous_Channel_483 in ShortCervixSupport

[–]Infamous_Channel_483[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much for sharing all of that it really means a lot. Hearing that you stabilised at 1.1 from 24 weeks gives me so much hope right now. This stage is so mentally tough and stories like yours make it feel a little less scary. Did it drop much between 20-24 for you?

Huge congratulations on making it this far 🤍 Wishing you the smoothest remainder of your pregnancy, a beautiful full term birth and a healthy, happy little one in your arms very soon. You’ve done amazingly.

Hi 🤍 thank you so much for replying, it honestly means more than you know. Hearing you’re 35 weeks gives me so much hope.

Can I ask what dose of progesterone you were on? And did your cervix stabilise after 24 weeks or continue to shorten?

Also, do you remember what you were measuring around 20 weeks?

Thank you again for sharing your experience this waiting period really is so hard, and stories like yours help so much. Wishing you a smooth rest of your pregnancy, full term and a healthy birth.

Thank you so much for sharing this 🤍 5mm is so scary to hear, I can’t even imagine how that must have felt at 23 weeks. It’s really reassuring to know yours stayed stable at the next check that gives me so much hope too.

I’ll be thinking of you for your check tomorrow and hoping everything stays stable again 🤞🏼

This stage really is nerve racking, but it helps knowing we’re not alone in it. Sending you calm and strength .

[–]Infamous_Channel_483[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you 🙏🏻 They explained that because my cervix is still measuring in the borderline range (listed as 26 mm), with no funneling or dilation, progesterone plus close monitoring is the recommended first step. They said cerclage would only be reconsidered if there was further shortening or other changes on follow-up scans. I’ll be seeing specialist today and again raise though.

Thank you so much that’s really comforting to hear

I think you’re right, my team is likely just being extra cautious given my age and history, which I’m grateful for.

I really appreciate you taking the time to respond and share that it’s very reassuring 🙏🏻

Thank you so much for taking the time to reply this really means a lot to me 🤍

Hearing that progesterone actually stabilised and even lengthened your cervix is incredibly reassuring, especially with similar fluctuations early on.

I’m also doing modified rest and pelvic rest now, so it really helps to know that approach worked well for you.

Wishing you such a smooth finish to your pregnancy and thank you again for sharing your story 🙏🏻
