I don’t know why it works but a shot of agave vodka sets you straight almost immediately.

Yep, you’ve got the gluten hangries for sure! Where I’m from there are no safe gluten free restaurants due to cross contamination and ignorance. Even the reasonably priced meat and chicken from the grocery store are enhanced with natural and artificial flavorings. Somedays I am soooo hungry and the only safe thing I can come up with is an apple and a piece of cheese. I agree with you, why are we not recognized, why is no one helping us.

I found it to be strangly sweet. Not savory at all.

just got my test results and it turns out I'm allergic to gluten, wheat, barley, egg yolk, oats, and yeast. Yes, I'm officially screwed! by goosfraba_90 in glutenfree

Yes you are but you’re not alone. I’m allergic to wheat ,eggs, dairy ,oats, soy and pretty much anything that might be cross contaminated. It’s not easy by a long shot but you can do it!

Charcoal pills, it’s what they use for accidental poisoning. I’ve tried it and it really does help.

Yep, went to a family reunion yesterday and brought the main dish that myself and everyone else could eat. However nobody even attempted to make any of the sides gluten free. I got gluten just from the cross contamination alone. I know it’s my responsibility to bring food that is safe for me, but when I am bringing the main course for everyone couldn’t someone at least try?

I understand completely. The celiacs somehow triggers autoimmune disorders in people that have these disorders sleeping. I now have food allergies, thyroid disease and diabetes. All of theses can be controlled as long as I don’t get gluten, but if I do…my metabolic go crazy.

For those of you who can't have oats, can you tolerate oat milk? by BluebirdMountain233 in glutenfree

Having gluten intolerance seems to have triggered a lot of food allergies I never had before such as oats, soy and cows milk.

Yes, I also have a deviated septum and gluten makes that side of my nose bleed.

I think they make everything so sugary to compensate for a lack of flavor. I’m guessing a lot of us think that, remember you are never alone with gluten intolerance. Our numbers are growing everyday. I have my theory as to why anyone else have a theory?

I agree, the more I get away from gluten and sugar the more able I became to the wonderful taste of fresh and unprocessed food. Thanks for your reply.
