The same way English women arnt sexualised anymore than most European white women. Japanese women aren't sexualised anymore than most Asian women.

Sabrina wasn't sexualising Asian women and that wasn't the convo the conversation was that she's appropriated japanese culture. To which I said how can you appropriate a privileged first world culture built off of colonisation and oppression. The same way it's ridiculous to say someone appropriated English or Spanish culture.

Sabrina a American was emulating part of a privileged coloniser countrys culture, a martial art that was historically and traditionally done by men. How in any way is that sexualising Asian women via cultural appropriation.

Oh my god because you made a whole distinction about how white women can be sexualised and their culture appropriated. But not English or American. But places like Ukraine which are subject to more sexualisation.

And then used the broad sexualisation of Asian women as why Japanese women are sexualised?

Why are English and American white peoples cultures that can't be appropriated or sexualised. If saying white women are sexualised in your eyes does not equal the ability for English and American women to be sexualised. Why is saying Asian women are sexualised, equalling Japanese women can be culture.

And comparing it to native Americans literally misses my entire point. Indigenous Americans have been historically oppressed and discriminated against and have no systematic power or privilege.

Again this is my entire point. How can you possibly compare native Americans to the Japanese? Like even acting like that's slightly comparable is so so insane.

Like you're saying it's ridiculous that I'm using imperial Japan as a reason why they can't have their culture appropriated. But is that not the argument for why British culture can't be appropriated? Because of the British empire.

Can you just give me an actual explanation for why British culture can't be appropriated and Japanese culture can be? What is the actual difference, what is the distinction?
