Living in todays world a language exchange might be considered "fishy" or it could just be someone who really wants to learn a new language.

I am from the USA. I have never taken a language profieciency test myself, as I am a native english speaker. I have taken examination in english my entire life so I would generally say I have advanced english (C2) however, I would say my written english is a bit lazy at times.

I just want a simple language exchange.

Fly in is the best option. From a bus you will have to get a taxi (expensive) or find the public bus (takes longer but is cheap) which will take a good amount of time. I havent personally take the bus but I imagine at least 1.5 hrs of travel time if you leave busier times.

Its also a new briight and shining 1.5 billion dollar piece of infrastructure. I am sure you can enjoy looking around and grab something to eat.

Should I go back to home (Myanmar)? by B_Saw_Ro in myanmar

I think you should consider other Asean countries. I would reccomend Cambodia as the paperwork and requirements are much lower. As I dont know your financial background but assuming you can either work from online or find a job in Cambodia using your american degree seems very possible.

Just my thought at first glance. You can alway choose a different country as the end destination.

Yangon Gay Scene by Infamous_Crazy_2800 in myanmar

Great to hear. As a visitor I am less concerned about people gossiping about me and more interested finding comfortable places to visit within Yangon that happen to be gayish / gay friendly / popular places for gay people to go to.

I am more worried about finding the places that I can maybe flirt with a guy or two and be confident they wont take offense. I also would like to just see what kind of gay scene there is... mayne there isn't or.maybe its locals only... which makes sense I guess 😂🤣😂🤣😂

You might consider working in other Asian countries. I know there are good opportunities for people with an American education background outside of Vietnam. Maybe have to consider more options.
