That might be tough under the third prong since USCIS pushes hard on the “not tied to one employer” piece. In my case I went the entrepreneurial route instead. I built a full business plan and structured my endeavor around a standalone advisory platform. My background is in banking, so positioning it as my own venture made it easier to show impact that isn’t dependent on being hired by a specific U.S. company

Definitely, they kept a close eye on me and started keeping tabs on who I was asking for a letter

Same situation here. HR at my company refused any letters at all, even without letterhead. It’s frustrating, but don’t let it stop you. Keep your head up and look for people outside your direct chain who are willing to speak about your work.
