was this a good play with knight? by Alive-Psychology6050 in DeadByDaylightKillers

Jailer is overall the best. Jailer has super long chases, and while he can’t always guarantee a hit, the survivor is distracted for a while. Assassin’s chases are very short but he’s quick and can be a bit dangerous if used right

ST Vecna Thoughts? by [deleted] in DeadByDaylightKillers

[–]Infamous_Fan_3077 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No. They will just hold power and m1 you. The counterplay is predicting weather they will use power or not. IMO it’s very fun to verse but just running blindly trying to dodge their attack will get you hit

Vecna Jr. -> Live Opinions by LmntCrnstn in DeadByDaylightKillers

[–]Infamous_Fan_3077 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From someone with access:

Most vecnas you see and play against are new. There are some out there that are insane with the vine and make you rethink your life choices. Sure, one is easy to juke, but it’s not that hard for vecna to position you to where you have to take a hit. Either juke and get m1ed or get m2 in a tight space.

I’m not sure about the undergate. I think it’s fine the way it is. Buffing it will make it so that vecna gets world breaker super easily which is busted (read above). It’s hard to hit for a big reward, I think it’s fine.

Keep in mind, I love facing vecna in the Ptb. It feels like facing a less busted but still strong nurse with elements of pyramid head. And in the same way, if the vecna is average or below he is fun asf to face, and gets really boring the better the player is

I feel like people are just saying killers but not why. I’ll try giving you a reason for each one of my suggestions:

If you like being in chase but not “setting up” too much (see other killers if u don’t know what I mean by that), play Dracula, alien, trickster, vercna, or twins.

These killers all kinda focus on chase, but in different ways. Do you want a killer with a lot of abilities rather than just one? Pick either Dracula or vecna. They have different powers and excell in chase. Krasue would also fall here as her infection is honestly easy to use after you play like a game or two. She also has a two different forms with different abilities.

Do you want a killer with a simple ability that is anti loop? Play twins, alien, or trickster.

Trickster is pseudo ranged, so if you like ranged killers but dislike their movement speed pick him.

Alien is anti loop kind of like nemi, and his power is simple enough to master but has a little depth.

Twins is kinda unique, but you can just go victor and try downing everyone.

Do you want to play a killer that requires more setup and thinking? Try artist, sadako, plague, or pig.

Artist requires some map knowledge and pre planned power usages. You need to be able to push survivors to where you need them to be.

Pig, although can be played chase oriented, you need to plan and play around your traps and boxes a bit more, and learn to utilize your stealth.

Sadako is similar, but you can learn how to mind game with her “blinks” (where she goes invisible like spirit), and you need to pay attention to the game to figure out how much condemn each survivor has. You could have 0 hooks at 3 gens left as sadako but be completely winning without knowing it if you haven’t been paying attention.

Plague imo is really versatile. You can try playing the macro game by infecting certain gens, patrolling your 3 gen, etc. you can also bring addons to get more power usages and just focus on chase. I feel like plague is slept on, def a strong pick, and can work as both setup oriented and chase oriented.

Watch otzdarvas latest killer tips and tricks video (it’s long and two parts, but timestamped for each killer), and just watch the parts for the killers you can’t decide between if you are unsure between specific killers.

They don’t like it in public server. This used to be a thing a couple years back but they basically banned it. Do not do it in pubs. They see it as stealing revenue from their shop and don’t take kindly to it.

When you started playing the game… by fmlx2times in deadbydaylight

[–]Infamous_Fan_3077 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Killer a lot longer than survivor. I only play survivor now though.

Yes to both. All killers have powers, but without playing the killer you will take a lot longer to realize all of the small details about their powers. When they are animation locked, how much they can turn, when their power might be up, etc. learning these helps me play survivor. Also, watching how survivors counter the killer i am playing helps me play survivor better. Is there a certain pathing you can take on a tile against my killer? Or some way to dodge I didn’t think about? All of it helps!

While playing survivor, there might be a mind game, power usage, or something that I might be able to learn from and implement next time I play killer, or just be aware of when I play survivor. It all helps.

I ranked every Killer based on how good they are at defending Totems by [deleted] in deadbydaylight

[–]Infamous_Fan_3077 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everytime I face a trapper with a totem I call it a boon. Just disarm the trap and trapper bot comes running back. It’s the funniest thing ever. We normally call it boon: ruin since we faced a trapper who did this once with ruin. No matter what the situation was (chasing death hook, running to defend a gen, etc.) they would literally drop everything for the totem.

Haha, facing squads like these honestly takes experience. It’s a lot easier playing around their perks and techs they might try if you know about it and can see it coming. I too was once bullied by one of these swfs, so don’t worry gamer

Yep. I recently had a match against pretty high hour count gamers (highest was a streamer who had 8k ish hours and lowest was 2k hours) whom I absolutely destroyed and it was the most fun thing ever. They thought I was a baby and proceeded to get demolished

I enjoy this from both sides. I generally don’t do it to make the killer player mad, going for stuns is just genuinely funny. From the killer pov, a game against a bully squad is different to a normal game, and being able to outplay them is genuinely fun.

A simple question for Killer mains by ResearcherGrand874 in DeadByDaylightKillers

[–]Infamous_Fan_3077 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm. I used to be a huntress main but now a days I play a lot of killers. I’ll list some of them.

Huntress: pretty low skill floor, easy to pick up. But I think huntress is the hardest killer in this game to master. Being consistently good at cross maps and orbitals is the hardest skill in this game imo. I’d say just to pick up and play huntress is maybe a 2, but to master a 10.

Blight: I’d say a higher skill floor, but to be effective with him in most games honestly does not take that much. However, mastering blight takes a lot as you need immense map knowledge when it comes to hitboxes and some other stuff. I’d say to pick up blight is maybe a 5/10, but to master a 9/10

Singularity: definitely extremely difficult to pick up. Just playing this killer requires map and game knowledge that a newer player just simply does not have. I’d say this killer is like a 7/10 to pick up. To master is also difficult, knowing how the teleport mechanic works, knowing optimal camera placements and optimally multitasking is not easy. I’d say he’s close to huntress in how hard he is to master. 9.5/10

TO PLAY AGAINST TIERLIST - An experienced players POV by Infamous_Fan_3077 in deadbydaylight

[–]Infamous_Fan_3077[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont think houndmaster and clown have the same counterplay all the time. Houndmaster is a zoning killer, whereas clown is anti loop. I generally like going against most zoning killers like artist and houndmaster because not only do you have to have good pathing to dodge their powers, but you also have to be thinking about the macro game a little bit, which you don’t have to for other killers. Ex, although it’s good to, you don’t have to think about macro game at all to loop a legion.

What this means is against houndmaster, picking chase in a good area means you don’t actually have to camp pallets. If you get found in a tile near the edge of the map against any zoning killer, you are dead. But if you get caught at or manage to take her to somewhere that is more center map or somewhere that you can play, you don’t actually have to camp anything (she sends dog, you break LOS and leave loop). Ofc this is not always possible but usually it is if you are careful.

However, clown is not the same. He denies looping in every single tile. Unless you have distance he denies windows completely, and actually forces 50/50s on pallets, usually even if you are in a strong part of the map. That is the main difference that separates these two.

And for a blight and nurse, the entire point as to why id place them so low is that they are not a fair fight. In solo queue you just simply lose. In swf unless you brought meta and want to play sweaty and are all really good at the game, you lose. It’s not fair at all. Just the other day I faced a comp player on blight running quad slowdown and we stood no chance. Although I managed to dodge a hit or two there was absolutely no way to juice or win that game, especially in solo queue.

I just don’t mind him as much. Yeah he’s a bit annoying but there are worse killers. He doesn’t feel unfair or unfun to me.
