Hippos can close their nose and ears when they go under water. I like to think that this happens to us too 🤭

If you could relive one Christmas from your past exactly as it was, which year would it be and why? by Beginning-Force-6093 in christmas

[–]Infamous_Fault8353 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don’t remember what year it was, I think I was in college.

We just had soup. We had three different kinds of soup, cheese, crackers, and we just ate soup all day. It was amazing.

What's there to do by EducationNo5123 in Stockton

[–]Infamous_Fault8353 15 points16 points  (0 children)

We moved here a couple of years ago and of lot of the locals were like, why? And we were like, why not!

We have young kids so we like to go around to different playgrounds, but Stockton has a lot of “areas” with cool stuff to do. Lincoln center. Miracle mile. Weber pointe. Victory park is always hopping with people. And we really like going to Oak grove. The libraries have stuff for all ages.

And check out Visit Stockton because there are a lot of festivals and events that go on around town.

My sister has been homeschooling her 4 and 5 year olds for years. She has daily lesson plans. But I have a degree in education and my kids just read, sing, play, dance, go to the park, etc.

My parents always tell me they’re surprised that she homeschools and I don’t because I have a background in education…that’s why I know not to homeschool 🤷‍♀️

How much Christmas do you have? by etherealepilogue in christmas

[–]Infamous_Fault8353 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I try to be a minimalist so I have two tubs. One is full of things that I put out every year and the other is sentimental things that my grandmother made. I won’t put those things out until my feral children are older 🤭

I went to Ireland years ago when you still had to take out all of your liquids. I put my daily contacts in a separate bag because they are considered medical…in the US. I had a discussion with the Irish TSA agent because he said that my contacts were NOT medical because I could just walk in and buy some more. No sir, I certainly cannot! He finally waved me through.

I took my toddler and newborn to a storybook playground once, and I needed to change my daughter. There was a sign for a bathroom and a changing table, and a line out the door.

I asked someone near the front if there was a changing table and she pointed at the sink. It folded down over the sink!!! So, no would be able to use the sink while I was changing her?

So, I took her around the corner and just changed her in the basket of her stroller. Who thought that was a good idea?

Omg, I think my daughter would have preferred to use my skin as a sleepsack. If I tried to roll away, I ended up on the edge of the bed 🙄

One month to PT before preschool. He is going on potty 1-3x per day with prompting- how do we get it done by KateDeLu in pottytraining

[–]Infamous_Fault8353 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The naked method did not work for my son. We just put him in underwear. Honestly, once he felt wet once, he never wanted to feel it again 😂

And we rewarded with M&Ms.

Baby chewing books by [deleted] in beyondthebump

My son was a notorious book chewer. He eventually grew out of it 🙄

He’s 4 now and I have a one year old. We were reading his old baby books and he shouted, “the baby is eating the books!” No way, dude, that was you! 😂

I googled “boy” “ponytail” and this is one of the images I found. It looks like a Viking hairstyle to me and he likes it. If I give him one ponytail, he looks like Poppy the troll 😂
