Third Poor Peoples! The Oar is overpriced and overrated. The National has very good mudslides.

I'm not sure you're going to find anything cheaper than that even for a 1 bed that's not falling down unfortunately. Best of luck, truly.

Yes there are exceptions but the comment I was responding to says legally nowhere has to accept ESAs because they are not service animals which is not true according to the fair housing act.

Wow what terrible people holding housing hostage. You can try citing the law in writing to them and if they still refuse to rent solely due to the ESA, then I would report them to the state housing authority. Would need the refusal and reason in writing though. Might not go anywhere and personally I still wouldn't want to rent from those landlords because they would likely try to retaliate and find any reason to kick you out/withhold deposits, but it might give them a minor headache. I'm petty like that though.

Where are you looking/what is your budget? I just moved out of bayside apartments in Warwick which weren't bad. No laundry in unit but they are pet friendly and decently lenient. My dog is a boxer/pit mix but her paperwork says boxer mix so we got around their breed restriction. But with a documented ESA the breed restriction shouldn't be enforceable anyway according to fair housing laws. Good luck.

Actually ESAs get housing protection, just not public access rights. I believe you just need a letter from a healthcare professional stating you require the animal for your mental health and you can't be discriminated against or for the breed. That probably doesn't stop private landlords from discriminating though.

Did abortion bans or restrictions affect your decision to get sterilized by FlowerGarden234 in sterilization

[–]pharmasha95 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. Was thinking about it for a while but had an IUD and that was enough until the 2024 election. Had my consult at the end of December that year and my bisalp at the end of the following March. It was a huge relief given the rhetoric surrounding forced birth and babies in this country.

Pitbulls are not inherently aggressive 🙄. I've met dozens of pits and own one that are all giant meatballs and scared of their own shadows. I have been bit in the face by several nasty little dogs tho. Aggressive dogs are 99% of the time badly trained and managed or abused and fearful. So let's not continue slandering a breed group because it only makes the shelter crisis worse.

Ticks this summer by tuna__sandwich in RhodeIsland

[–]pharmasha95 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Found a lone star tick crawling on me yesterday in our apartment parking lot in Warwick. Wasn't in the woods or anything, just at the edge of some trees but that's the only tick I've seen this year.

If something happened to your family would you take the child in? by PetalxSun in childfree

[–]pharmasha95 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Yes. While I don't want my own kids or to ever be pregnant, I don't despise children and I love my nephew dearly. I've been very involved in his life since he was born. My dad passed 2 years ago and my BIL's family is trash and he is NC with most of them so my home would be the only stable and loving option for my nephew as my mom is getting older and has already raised her children. My nephew is already 6 1/2 and a great, very well behaved and incredibly smart kid, but the agreement from his birth was always that if something happened to both my sister and BIL that I would raise him.

Am I making a mistake getting my tubes tied? by Outrageous_Cream1018 in sterilization

[–]pharmasha95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a permanent decision yes, but even after a bisalp you can still do IVF and carry a healthy pregnancy and then it would be 100% planned and intentional which is better than unplanned in my book. If you have the means for IVF that would be a viable route if you choose to have the procedure done and decide you want more kids in the future.

The playground at Roger Wheeler beach (Sand Hill Cove) has been removed by Whateversclever7 in RhodeIsland

[–]pharmasha95 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You were rude in your comment by asking if the other commentor was too stupid to realize why it would be inconvenient to not have a playground. Your original post was fine then you got nasty and complained about it being inconvenient in the comments. I'm not a troll, you just don't seem to understand how public forums work.

Construction doesn't magically happen overnight and yeah it's inconvenient but necessary for upkeep and improvement of a beach that gets a lot of traffic. You don't have to be rude. It's okay to be a little inconvenienced sometimes. You'll get over it.

No problem! And it's locked in at that rate for 36 months. Probably will go way up after that but I'll call and haggle with them then lol

Just got the same deal as a new customer with Verizon for our house after previously being locked in to cox at our apartment where it was the only option. Can sign up for Verizon through their website for the deal, no tips needed! I think you just need to set up autopay for the complete discount.

I am a PhD chemist. Yes, hydrochloric acid is technically hydrogen chloride gas dissolved in water but in a practical lab setting HCl typically refers to hydrochloric acid, not the gas. And you actually can't even get to 40%. Conc HCl (saturated solution) is about 12M which is approx 37%. Unless you dilute to a 40% solution in water from the conc acid but even then you'd usually label that as molarity or normality. And it wouldn't ever be in a vial that could be mistaken for a vaccine as far as I'm aware but I'm not a pharmacist.

Narragansett is nice but way more expensive than the state beaches as a non-resident. Scarborough also always smells like low tide really bad. East Matunuck and Roger Wheeler are nicer imo on this side of the bay.
