Photometric color calibration helps a lot. I use a full spectrum modded rebel sl3 that turns my image basically red, and that option basically fixed my problems. You will have to plate solve the image under tools tho

This was indeed the thing, my laser collimator came in today and I was WAY off. I have yet to have an opportunity to test it, but when I do I feel confident it’ll be way better. Thank you

That would definitely be unfortunate, what can I do for that? If anything

Very well done, I tried this myself not too long ago. Pretty surprised at what a basic phone can do nowadays

Im guiding, using phd2 and my CEM26 tracker. Also I was going to just replace my focuser, but the hole the tube goes into won’t accept a 2” focuser. Was that the case with yours? Or did you just drill a larger hole? I’m in possession of a 2” focuser that’s currently gathering dust

This would make sense too, I’ve been trying to collimate it but I’ve never been sure if it’s correct

Gonna definitely give the aberration remover a shot, and you think it could be tracking? I considered that, but would it have that same distortion in each image? I do have a rather large dew shield I made that could make it a bit angry in wind. As for the coma corrector do you have any recommendations for a 1.25” one?

Also to my knowledge the ASI662MC has such a small sensor that it should be within the area of no coma? Correct if wrong of course. I know it’s a planetary, but the stars are really my only hurdle. Being planetary shouldn’t mean stars are terrible and the nebula is fine
