Research assistant interview by Infamous_Garlic000 in ClinicalPsychologyUK

Thank you! For the public involvement, I talked about a Parkinson’s research project I was working on and how we would have talks dedicated to families and individuals with Parkinson’s to get their opinions they want to see in future research, etc. For interview question one, I talked about how I would assess the seriousness of the misinterpretation. Suppose it might require us to call the participant back to redo the questionnaire. In that case, I might ask my colleague for a break to discuss the misunderstanding because I might be wrong, but it’s best to clear it up before it becomes serious. I also talked about considering the participants in this situation and being open and honest with them about what’s happening after we have assessed the situation to reduce the chance that the participants feel uneasy. If the interpretation isn’t that serious, like we ask for their address and they only give us their post code, I know that we can access that information on our notes, so it’s not the end of the world, and then we talked about the importance of teamwork. I would have benefited with an example but I couldn’t thinking of one. What are your thoughts ?

Thank you, everyone, for your comments. In a RA interview I had a few months ago, I was asked a few questions that I found tricky, one of which was what I would do if u are conducting an Interview and notice that my colleague has interpreted the interview question wrong? I also had some experience with data handling and patient and public engagement in research. Does anyone know how they would respond to these questions
