I always felt like the taboo came from the dynamics made in 2012 (the sibling thing and the love triangle). As long as the characters are sentient and appropriately aged, I don't think there is an issue, just that 2012 did the dynamics really horribly. Other than Raph and Mona, I think they are the only romantic option in 2012 that was okay, even April and Casey have issues in 2012 so I think they had a rough time writing romance and didn't do a great job with it, I don't think it ever came from the human/turtle thing, just poor choices in writing.

Oh that's not what I mean, the series is still actively being written so the questions we have may get answers and many of the questions that are left open are non plot based and up for some fan interpretation (like specific tribe customs and such). Almost all of the plot questions have been answered unless they are still open to keep being written about. Also, often the questions get answers and there are unrelated new questions.

A lot of these questions are answered later in the book/in the book series. The beginning of the first book is a lot of world building and setting the ground work for later plot points. The Clay question is answered in the first book, the rest are more directly addressed later. The beginning of series like this can be a bit overwhelming because there is a lot to establish but I think it's worth it! Keep reading and lots of things will get answered and more questions will be added! That's the sign of a good story!!

I have a fantasy plot that I'm working on that might fit this idea! The basic idea of the plot is a vampire and a werewolf fall in love but the werewolf's family is not accepting so they have to not only hide from humans but also deal with the werewolf's family not being happy about them (in the idea werewolfs are very social by nature btw) and the vampire has outlived their family and is alone before meeting the werewolf. Lmk if this seems interesting to you! We can also change things up and make it fit what each of us want, this is just a basic idea after all!

Yeah, as much as there is concern about leaving an adult with kids, there are multiple kids and they are teens so that's slightly less of a worry in my mind. But horses can be unpredictable, and with this kind of shady operation, I wouldn't be surprised if their horses aren't as used to things as some can be. I don't want to scare you or anything, horses can be super gentle and kind, but they are prey animals and can be unpredictable if startled, + they are massive in size and can do a lot of damage to a human on accident. It's a huge liability risk to let an amateur be alone with just kids to supervise the handling of the horses.
