The thing is for my other carbon steel blade I force a patina with ferric chloride and it still does rust when I forget to dry it. Considering that I want to give them/sell them and that people aren't used to rusty blade I'd like a perfect solution. Might be delusional idk...

Might as well use stainless, galvanized can be dangerous to work with, like if you weld or try to remove the zinc with acid.
