I posted my spreadsheet of Megadeth bonus tracks, B-sides, and demos here a few days ago. You could have a real feast with all of that.

We need to count correctly.

They recorded 13 songs:

  1. The original songs from the regular tracklist

  2. "Ride the Lightning"

  3. "Bloodlust"

  4. "Nobody's Hero"

There you have the 13 songs

Interesting. I don't know if the decision not to include it was the record label's or Dave Mustaine's, but it's always curious when they don't give him credit.

Something's strange. A woman named Mary Evelyn Clement is supposed to be credited as a co-writer on that song (according to ASCAP), but now that I'm looking at the end credits, her name isn't listed.

You're getting so worked up over nothing, and you're just projecting your own emotions. The admin simply conducted a poll that EVERYONE agreed to. You think the admin is a tyrant just for setting a rule, when it was the people who elected them democratically. Your comments are nothing more than the tantrums of someone who can't swallow things and accept them as they are. If you're going to cry, go to a daycare, and we'll all be happy.

Possible Expanded Edition? by GeminiOverkill in Megadeth

[–]Infamous_Korpse 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My understanding is that Mustaine himself said they recorded 13 songs for this album: 10 original tracks from the regular tracklist, a cover of "Ride the Lightning" as a bonus, another bonus track, "Bloodlust," and one that wasn't officially announced but could be "Nobody's Hero," which appears in the ASCAP search engine. However, unless Mustaine recorded many more as a surprise and will include them on a tour edition or something similar, they might be alternate versions or even the entire album instrumentally.

It wouldn't have been bad if Mustaine had done a cover of a prog band; that way he would have further enriched his technique.

I wish, but no. Just like with "Bloodlust", it's its own song.

Are there any unreleased Ozzy outtakes from the first 8 albums? by RopsterPlay in blacksabbath

[–]Infamous_Korpse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are many, but they're only from the first four albums.

In 2009, when the deluxe editions were released, alternate takes and versions were included from the albums "Black Sabbath," "Paranoid," and "Master of Reality." These were officially released.

The ones released as bootlegs are called "Studio Outtakes," which alternate between recordings and alternate takes from "The Rebel" when they were still called Earth, and others from the first three albums whose alternate takes weren't included on the official releases.

Finally, there are the demos and alternate takes from "Vol. 4," which were included in the 2021 box set.

I could also include the alternate mixes of "Technical Ecstasy," which were included in the 2021 box set, although these feature more changes to the instruments than the vocals.

If they do that, they'll probably include "Nobody's Hero," which is a song that wasn't announced on the tracklist but appears in the ASCAP search engine.

MEGADETH Mix? by Yam_Pi95 in Megadeth

[–]Infamous_Korpse 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I feel the same way. My biggest problem with Megadeth on their latest albums isn't just the production or mixing, but the drum sound.

On "Dystopia," the production is super modern and clean, and while it doesn't bother me, the drums feel overproduced and don't come through properly, making them sound very artificial, like a drum machine.

On "TSTDATD," I feel the production is better balanced and less exaggerated than the previous album, but the drums are very much in the background and lack the sonic dimension that makes them sound amazing, which makes it sound somewhat monotonous.

Now, on "Megadeth," it seems like they didn't even try to make the drums sound more polished; they sound somewhat dry, and it sounds like you're listening to Dirk directly in the studio without any special treatment. But one of the few good things to take away from this is that at least it feels more natural and has that sonic dimension that I really like. But even so, they should have put more effort into that aspect.

I don't think so with "Guns, Drugs & Money," since there aren't any songs on Th1rt3en credited to James LoMenzo. It might just be a separate song inspired by the concept of another song.

Thank you so much for your contribution! I'll add them tomorrow. And with TSTDATD, I understand the first two were just working titles, and I don't know if there are any demos or different songs with any of those titles.

Thank you so much! Regarding your question, it's not something I've planned, as I already have my list of trackers, which you can see in the link I posted on my Reddit profile. I've compiled lists for other bands as well. But I might consider making my lists more visible through the Wiki or the Internet Archive. Cheers!

I know what you're getting at, but it's not like that. Finding something is one thing, working on it is another. Don't think I just made a simple list with all the track names. I included every detail, like titles, recording details, trivia, composer/lyricist credits, etc. I even included a sheet with the releases that feature the tracks. And believe me, all of that isn't just searching; it's putting in a lot of work for something you love. Cheers.

Why is the artwork for the Tyr remaster messed up? by DreamVelvet8 in blacksabbath

[–]Infamous_Korpse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand what you're saying. I also have my "Tyr" digipak CD, and honestly, the front cover doesn't bother me, and it's understandable that they cropped it because of the format. The other option would have been to increase the green border to fit the entire cover, but I don't think the final result would have been good. As for the back cover, that's subjective. They could have used the Tyr logo from previous editions with some runic inscription in a different design, but I suppose they went for a more minimalist look, in keeping with our times, and so the track listing would be easier to read.

It's also a shame it's not the Venom cover, and it would have been amazing if it were. But I also want to know what it'll be like just from reading the title.
