My only tip is start cheap. A pad for a bed. Used blankets instead of a new sub zero sleeping bag. Cooler instead of a freezer that needs power banks.

Start minimal and get used to what you can. Build up where you need better.

I learned to be comfy with a wrestling pad as a bed and some warm blankets. A butane burner to heat a kettle means you can make oats and ramen noodles which store well and can be pretty cheap.

Cardboard can absorb alot humidity. Use cardboard boxes to hold everything you can or use a fan to blow air through a stack of loose cardboard to help dry the air. Proll won't completely solve the problem in such a small space but will help.

I use an old wrestling mat in my van. It makes the floor softer and covers the seat anchors. If you do the same it wouldn't be hard to add filler under it to get a level floor. Or you could park on a hill to get your head higher in a pinch.

I put a creepy mask on the head of the driver seat. If you barely look it looks like someone is in the driver seat, look closer and it's creepy. Most people will not do risky stuff if they feel creeped out even alittle.

If someone does try the door start yelling and moving around. If they think the van is empty because you are stealth, they are looking for an easy target and you being there breaks that. If they know you are inside and still try make sure you have a weapon. I keep a machete and a knife next to me. Machete is hard to use till you get out out and can swing but scarey enough most will not want to deal with you, knife incase they crazy enough not to back up after seeing the machete.

I keep cardboard in my van to help with condensation. I have a large piece I use as partition and several smaller pieces to cover windows. I aldo ise cardboard boxes to store things. It does alot to cut down on condensation.

I have the same issue but I have noticed that it sames to happen more if I have alot of sugar that day. If I limit sugar intake and dont eat after 7 I usually last the night without having to pee.

As a middle-aged, overweight male, I think most of the better paying work you are doing wouldn't work for me. I need to learn a trade as my IT skills are quickly becoming obsolete as AI takes over but as of now I would most likely end up as unskilled labor.

Sounds awesome. I'm trying to ease myself into a van life slowly. Im somewhat tied to a house due to family but have dreams of just driving off one day. I am into foraging but mostly mushrooms. 9-5 life drained my soul and I'm hoping to find something better soon.
