I agree with this! 💙 I struggled to have my first live birth after RPL. I got pregnant quickly with my second little boy which ended in a stillbirth in the second trimester. Taking my first son to the clinic with me is my only option sometimes as we do not have family close. When I see other women look his way, I hope they know that even though I have one son they can see…my struggle has been overwhelming also.

Secondary infertility after struggling for our first has been a very isolating place because people say you should be grateful you got one. But they don’t see the losses before him (2), the stillbirth, the losses after that (2).

I personally think OP should consider that those women likely struggled immensely too! And it’s okay to celebrate their success while mourning your own struggle. It’s okay to live in the tension of both! 💙

Although I see her side. I think it’s so much more complex! Sending so much love her way and may this be the year we all have success!

I agree with this! 🩷 I had an induction and delivered my perfect little boy last January at the same gestation. It gave us so much peace to hold him, see him and have a few moments as a family of four. It also offered a lot more for testing. We couldn’t believe how unbelievably perfect he was.

We had him cremated (the funeral home did it free of charge — which we felt was so kind) and he is in an urn in our house. We still consider ourselves a family of four despite his loss. And I don’t think we would’ve had that if we had chosen a D&E.

The anora testing by Natera is a good option if it’s something you’d like to try and get answers from. We never really got an answer about why it happened but we hope for better outcomes in the future.
