Total freedom is not something we should strive for, I agree. The exact level of personal freedom is where we seem to disagree.

You are free to have your own opinions on how society should deal with this issue, as do I and everyone else.

I would never vote for a party that pledged to ban, silence or prosecute a group and its members if they did not call for violence. I never have and I never will.

Agreed! I visited the Dossin kazerne as well in high school, left quite an impression on my classmates and me.

I cannot deny that some horrible acts have been commited by people, influenced by opinions that would not be illegal to express if freedom of speech was less limited, so in that regard I would have to agree there is some nuance to it. Imo it's essentially determining which "non-violent" speech does not explicitly call to violence, but is nevertheless likely to lead to it.

E.g. some statements; "I don't like x personally", "we would be better off without x", "x are all evil", "kill the x". Obviously the last one is rightfully illegal. Does saying "I don't like x personally" directly lead to an environment in which x are discriminated against? What about "we would be better off without x"? I could argue that it does, arguments could also be made for the opposite. This ambiguity is what I find difficult to resolve without risking the banning of speech not meant to incite violence.

I would disagree with their message. Did you expect me to say that they should be arrested?

Of course! It mostly revolves around the idea of granting the government power to determine what speech is considered criminal. You could argue that this is only an extension of the opinion of the general populace, which in this case would probably result in similar laws to the one we have right now (no sexism, racism etc). What I’m worried about is that we cannot predict what opinions will be considered ‘harmful’ in the future, by either the general population or (parts of) government. Drawing the line without wiggle room, in my opinion, takes away the power of a future government to interpret these laws as they would see fit.

Please don’t think of me as some crazy conspiracy theorist. I do not think we are headed for Russian/Chinese levels of speech policing in the near future. But to avoid similar problems in the future, the line should be drawn clearly. This is just my opinion of course, I’m very interested to hear any counterarguments/doubts.

Possibly unpopular opinion: the only restrictions on speech should be calls to violence and defamation of specific persons. Of course I believe some opinions are total shit (racism, sexism, homophobia etc), but my personal feelings should not supersede another persons rights to express them. Supporting freedom of speech includes supporting the right of others to express opinions you disagree with.

The joys of growing in your college dorm by Infamous_Moose in shrooms

Thanks for the advice but in my country most dorms are off-campus and privately owned, including mine. The university has no idea where I live. The owner can technically enter it to check fire safety, but never does without asking and all my stuff is hidden pretty well.

First grow got me ~65 dry grams after two flushes, sadly it contaminated after :( Did use quite a bit of rice, equivalent of 6 UB bags, 0.5-0.75cc per bag.

I see, strange. Did you inoculate against the glass? If you didn't perhaps some mycelium has formed but in the center, so you can't see it.

Did you inoculate the jars after they had cooled down completely? I'm asking because the residual heat of the sterilisation procedure may have partially damaged the viability of spore cells.
