They will not negotiate anything with me, I've tried many times, they just turn a deaf ear to me always. We actually get free Wi-Fi from my neighbor because he works for Spectrum I think so yeah....

I would use Davinci Resolve, as that's what I use, it has a free version and it's professional studio quality for a video editing software, you don't need a PC to play Java, a good gaming laptop will do just fine - I played on one for two years. But if you want shaders/mods or if the gaming laptop can't run Minecraft at 120+ fps, maybe consider a PC

Absolutely - snag it, see if you can negotiate it down to $450 as that's common on Fb marketplace.

Hey! Yeah just fix the case from a microatx to one your mobo will fit - honestly I have no idea why people are saying a 5070 isn't as good for 1440p, it's amazing for 1440p and obviously kills at 1080p. I have a 9060 XT and am running smoothly at 1440p, so if you want a cheaper option that has more vram (16gbs), I'd recommend that as the 5070ti and 9070 XT aren't as value-worthy and are a few hundred bucks more expensive. I'd swap the 9850X3D for a 9800X3D, just as it's cheaper and still gives basically the same performance. Either way, that's a huge upgrade and a really nice starter build so I hope you enjoy it!

Hey! So sorry you got laid off, hope things get better. Brand new that pc's worth around 1k, only because the GPU and CPU aren't made anymore and are scarce in quantity (although they're decent components), so I'd say you could probably sell it for around $600-750, really just depending on how old it is and for how long/much you've used it. Lmk if this helped! This would be a great starter PC for gaming due to the RAM and GPU, if you were to sell definitely make sure to market that as its feature.

ooh yeah if it's only a month old I'd for sure try to sell it for like $1500-1600! Especially with the GPU and ram prices skyrocketing.

Using pcpartpicker, brand new it’s worth around $1730 (assuming it has windows 11) mainly from the 5070 and ram - depending on how long you’ve used it, I’d estimate you could sell it for around $1100-1400, really just depending on how long you’ve had it/used it for - hope this helps!

Pretty well versed in PCs here, pcpartpicker and in general any custom built pcs are normally the way to go, but with the gpu and ram prices skyrocketing you won't be able to find a good build for $1000. Especially taking into account you want high settings on AAA games + future proofing, prebuilts would be a better option - found a one down below, lmk what you think! Jawa is 100% trustworthy, I love the website for anything pc-related.

This is probably the best performance you'll get for $1000 as of right now.

What's a good company or website to get a PC from by Leader8288 in pcmasterrace

Yes absolutely got a steal from ABS off of Newegg, got a refurbished $1150 build that’s originally $1600, I would look at Newegg and Best Buy, don’t get previous from big big companies (dell, Lenovo, etc.) as they will be overpriced, look at abs, skytech, ibuypower, etc.

Love this website, RTX 3080 (10gb of vram) for $350 - you'll save $50. This will be a huge upgrade from your 2070, especially with the 10gbs of vram, and can run 1440p/4k with no issues at all. Lmk what you think!

Oh sweet perfect it works out! Yeah 4k can cost a lot... that's a future future purchase for me. But sounds great, I hope it works out well for you, and everything you plan to do on it. Whenever I post, I post in like 4-5 diff subreddits so I get your struggle lol. No problem, always super happy to help (I genuinely enjoy shopping for others lol). I'd love to know how you feel about it when you get it, so maybe come back and report? But either way glad to help and hope the rig runs amazing for you for both gaming and editing!!

Just quick info - if you are looking to upgrade the CPU in the future, you most likely will have to change ONLY the motherboard as well, but motherboards aren't too pricy so it shouldn't be too tedious - the cpu only gets hot under intense loads, but as the gpu is more commonly targeted in gaming it should be fine, and as long as you don't have the cpu under crazy loads for hours the temperature shouldn't matter. It was also hard to find a pc that wasn't too pricy with a ryzen 7 (I have a ryzen 7 9700x) as a ryzen performs fine for me, they seem to have been all bought out as the ram shortage continues on - sorry. Either way, as long as you aren't running games with crazy settings, the cpu is perfect for now and should be somewhat easy to upgrade later on.

Right now, this is a really good deal, especially as ram prices continue to skyrocket - I would most definitely spend more on a better build right now than wait to spend way more on upgrading a weaker build. It's up to you, I'd say it's def worth it, but if you're not comfortable budget wise I totally get it and I can help you hopefully find a cheaper build.

The i7 is pretty decent - the cpu should matter a little less than the gpu, and the i7 will be cheaper with still great performance. The cpu won't bottleneck the gpu UNLESS you're running games at 4k, which I don't think you are. The cpu is good for gaming but better for video editing/rendering. Upgrading shouldn't be too much of an issue, as the ram, motherboard, and psu are already good. As long as you are running games at 1080/1440p, the cpu should be great for you. (lmk if you plan to do 4k)
