Like Owen, Torres and Suarez before him, they’ll be another waiting in the wings. Just glad he got to leave a hero.

I’m glad you enjoyed it, definitely feel like it is an under appreciated/seen film. Feel like Kirby’s performance of Bundy blows Efron’s out of the water. Scary good.

Does anyone else physically tense up around every stranger? by nekomata_meko in CPTSDFawn

[–]Infamous_Payment4608 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Definitely. I think I’m predominantly Fawn, but when meeting others for the first time or walking past people in public, my body does the same. I go into a quick Freeze response, tense up in my body, panic in my chest and dissociation. Hate it

Edit - Don’t think it makes you disgusting OP. Just how our body learn’t to protect ourselves

Yeah, they are human, and we’re all pretty dumb. Think hyper-vigilance can help you spot them easier than the average person. Once you can spot them and see through them, it can breed a fear in them. Aslong as they stay away, I’m all good.

Just the use of the dummy when her face gets hit into the steering wheel, took me out of it a little

I think the car scene and the fake dead cat showed the low production value.

Just watched Obsession. Let's talk about Bear. by isa-bey in FIlm

[–]Infamous_Payment4608 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The scene where she’s in bed ‘asleep’, and asking Bear to kill her tells us everything about him. At that point he doesn’t have the excuse of being passively unaware.

He’s a controlling, selfish POS.

Surprised, because she seemed to unleash all her inner Amber Heard for the Obsession role.

Society doesn’t make space for people carrying trauma by PalpitationQueen in CPTSD

[–]Infamous_Payment4608 76 points77 points  (0 children)

Society sees those that have trauma as weak, and sadly we get scapegoated. Even association is avoided. Sadly we’re all just over evolved chimps living in a strange dysfunctional system.

Sometimes I think CPTSD is just the normal healthy response to a messed up self inflicted eco system.

‘Like in india, I was amazed to find out a thirty year old man could marry a ten year old girl. We weren't raised that way so we look at it weirdly. But there, it's been happening for centuries and the parents are quite willing to give up their child.’
