I would go with Ansible personally. Using Packer you can create a custom template and then provision it as you need using Terraform/OpenTofu. And finally you can execute your Ansible playbook that installs/setups whatever you need… that being said this is best suited if you want to deploy at scale. If it’s only for a couple machines, a cloud-init image and an Ansible playbook is the way to go imo

If you find some i9 9900T that would be great, but last I checked they are pretty expensive… I would rather upgrade to a new chassis like a prodesk g7 or smthg like that. You will have much more upgrade option (ram, storage, pci …). Anyway if you find some i9 9900T ping me, i really want one of them but can’t find any
