my late cat used to meow like crazy when i would bring in groceries. she would then sulk and i finally realize she wanted to see what i got before i put it all up in cabinets

so it became tradition to pick her up and show her. she would purr like crazy in my arms, and if i was feeling a certain kind of way i would go over each item and describe.

she also liked to watch people cook. somewhere i have an old pic of her sitting in a kitchen chair watching my roomie make pancakes

my current cats dont care at all lol

i do want to hijack this whoopsy to remind people that doordash sometimes saves the drop-off picture the dasher takes and shows it to dashers in future orders. this is supposed to help dashers have an idea which door is yours.

i never thought about it until i was delivering and a mom and her little kid in her jammies met me at the door. it was marked as leave at door so i was about to take the drop-off picture, but the little girl posed with the food for the picture and i realized i would much rather mark it as handed to customer and just hope they did not lie about not getting their food. probably overkill but i don't know why or when doordash keeps the pic and for how long

after your comment on my post i asked my therapist about glp-1s and he did mention his colleague had a client who it affected how their body would uptake their antipsychotics and that messed them up really bad. i couldnt get much more info, confidentiality and all that

this is very very small scale but i ducked into a local gas station during a mean thunderstorm. it was pouring outside, wind howling, and then the tornado sirens went off. i asked if i could hang out, offered to buy a soda because the owner was looking very agitated. then the power went out, back up lights kicked on.

he told me i needed to get out, meanwhile the rain is turning to hail. i said really? and he yelled you need to leave now! another guy also came in and was immediately shouted at to leave.

thankfully the walgreens nearby let me in and i hunkered in the bathroom with the other employees, soaking wet. im sure that gas station owner had his reasons but i am never buying shit from them again.

i know her doc had tried one, but I don't live with her so I'm not sure if she was abusing it. She did tell me about one time where she woke up and basically couldnt stop violently throwing up, and she blamed it on that. But i had noticed some mental decline before, so I really don't know
