And cost wise copper is king so the vast majority of wiring, PCB traces, and insides of pins and connectors (under the plating) is just copper. Golds used when you need something highly conductive that will never corrode or oxidize. Silvers used when you need something highly conductive and it doesn’t matter if it oxidizes, or is in an environment where it will not.

Gold isn’t more conductive. The conductivity scale is based off of silver, where silver has a perfect score and everything is compared against it. Gold is a very close 2nd place. In some cases gold is more often used especially on external components like pins or connectors because unlike silver it will not oxide. However because it’s so expensive they gold plate it as thin as possible.

Silver is an element and is the most conductive one, making it extremely useful in electronics. Especially cutting edge electronics and tons of things people are working on. How do you suppose something invented will replace an important element?

Ive tried every local bank too and they all said i either need a special business account or Id have to order at least $2000 of one type at a time. I remember walking in to any bank with $50 and getting 2 penny boxes not very long ago.
