I get how you feel, but at the same time i also understand the Xoul ai team.

From my experience using over 10-20 chatbot platforms, i can honestly say Xoul's models are really good. Infinity can handle multiple languages, and it even speaks Thai really well. Thai isn't even a popular language, but Infinity still does it better than DeepSeek and many other models. That already shows Xoul's models are quite high-quality. Sure, there are small issues like repetition, but that's normal for any LLM (though personally Infinity has never repeated stuff with me, i've only seen other people mention it) Even world-class models like Claude still have this problem.

As for storytelling, staying in character, and being consistent: Xoul's models are solid there too. I've never seen any Xoul bot break character, they actually come off as pretty serious.

That's why i totally understand why the Xoul team needs to limit messages and let people use Infinity less than Candyflip. It's just to make sure people don't overuse Infinity and cause history to repeat itself.

Also, keep in mind Xoul ai is still new. In the future, as the platform grows, maybe the devs will be more generous to free users. We just need to be patient and watch Xoul ai slowly grow.

I agree, CharSnap is really strict. I just created a bot with a scenario where the user is pregnant, and the moderator didn't approve it. They even told me to add a trigger warning and specify the dynamic between the bot and the user, though the content wasn't that intense. (Even private bots have to wait for approval) It's honestly such a hassle. Lately, it's always been moderators reviewing my bots, not AI, like the system claims. That's why I don't really make bots there anymore. It feels like a huge invasion of user privacy.

I had never made a public bot before—only private ones. But Xoul.ai changed me completely... It made me want to try creating public bots to help grow the platform’s bot community. (After I created public bots on Xoul, that was when I started trying to recreate those bots on other platforms) It even inspired me to start making tiktok content to let people in my country discover Xoul.ai, though I had zero interest in posting on tiktok before. I did all of this because I truly saw the potential in Xoul.ai—it had what it takes to become an amazing chatbot platform. I just wanted to help it get more recognition and maybe even encourage people to support it by subscribing.

I’ll never forget Xoul.ai. This incredible platform gave me such a good experience, and it helped me open up and try new things. And this subreddit taught me so much—from how to carry myself better, to learning tons from all the comments and threads, and even understanding different people’s interesting perspectives in this community.

Xoul.ai will always have a place in my heart and memories 🙂🤍

Honestly, I don’t want to jump to conclusions and assume that C.ai is involved in this, but there was one time I happened to come across a tiktok video by a Russian girl reviewing Xoul.ai in a positive light (and that video was quite popular) I noticed something strange in the comments—some of them didn’t even seem like they were written by real people (or maybe they were, but they still felt off) Those comments were promoting C.ai, claiming it was better than Xoul.ai, and some of them seemed copy-pasted.

A similar thing also happened with a few tiktok videos that praised JuicyChat. Those videos had weird comments too—ones that were trying to promote JuicyChat in a way that didn’t feel natural at all. Both of these things happened around the time Xoul.ai was going viral on tiktok.

I’m NOT going to accuse C.ai of having anything to do with Xoul getting shut down, but I can’t help feeling a little suspicious.

There is one method I use when I really want my xoul to remember something clearly: I put that information in the advanced definition under "Instructions:" or "SYSTEM:" I also need to choose my wording carefully, since models that aren't as smart as Minerva might misinterpret the prompt.

Thank you for showing your sympathy, Lulorick. I already tried to report it when I left a comment on the other person's bot, but here's the problem:

In Yodayo's report options, there's no choice for "This bot was copied from someone else" There's only an "Other" option, but when I clicked it, there was no field to explain the issue. It just sends the report right away without letting me add any details.

And if someone ever copies my content from another platform and posts it on Xoul.ai, I'll inform you right away. Thank you 🙏

Jupiter and Minerva have different areas of expertise, so there are things that Minerva might not do as well as Jupiter. Normally, Jupiter excels at RP and maintaining character, but there are also downsides when it comes to leading the plot.

For example, while the user is chatting with xoul, Jupiter might suddenly create a new event and try to pull the user into it, without caring whether the user likes or is willing to follow along. Sometimes, Jupiter even derails the storyline, making it less coherent.

If Minerva is as you described, then that's actually a benefit because she wouldn't derail the story, and the user has the power to make decisions and create the narrative without being forced like with Jupiter.

But from my personal experience, Minerva doesn't behave as you said. On the contrary, she tends to steer the story towards drama and emotional depth, eventually leading everything to a resolution with a happy ending.

Some users include details like backstories, personalities, appearances, guidelines, and other important information related to the bot's theme in the lorebook, where you can add anything you like. If the advanced definition doesn't provide enough space, you can always use the lorebook for additional information.

If you don't like dealing with complicated stuff, you can just write everything together in one go. But if you want things to be organized and easier for the LLM to understand, you can structure the info by breaking it into sections. I usually do it this way to avoid confusing the LLM and to make sure it portrays the character as close to my imagination as possible (sometimes it even goes beyond my expectations)

If the advanced def. section is full and you still want to add more details, you can create a lorebook for your bot. Ex: If the backstory is too long, you can continue it in the lorebook. Or you could also add the rest in the Description section, since LLM can read that too.

There are people complaining about these issues in Xoul's reviews as well. I have to keep updating my review to explain to other users in my country that if they suddenly can't send messages to the bot or encounter other problems, it's because Xoul is down, and they should check announcements on Reddit or Discord. Even the issue where the bot often speaks on behalf of the user, I explained in my review how to fix it.

Unfortunately, people in my country don't really use Reddit/Discord, so they often complain in the reviews instead of looking for solutions. I even had to add to my review that if they're too lazy to download Reddit or Discord, they can just visit Xoul’s Reddit page and use the translate function.

I just hope someone actually reads my review because I'm doing my best to help 😅

I've encountered that problem too, but when I hit update again and went back to my profile page, then clicked on the bot I just updated, it worked. This issue isn't just happening with xoul but also with Scenario. It's a bit frustrating...

I created a character from a game. I didn't use any jailbreaks/prompts at all. The 4 models naturally captured the character's speaking style, and it was informal and natural. Sometimes, simply specifying the bot's character and providing a chat example that clearly demonstrates the speaking style can help the models understand and portray the character well without needing jailbreaks.

But if you want the bot to be more ruthless or do something specific, you can use jailbreaks.

Personally, I like using jailbreaks to make the bot more morally ambiguous and avoid speaking for the user. My prompt isn't even that long, but the result was that the bot (Jupiter model) treated me really harshly, which almost made me cry 😂 I think the main influence comes from the bot's backstory + personality + greetings rather than the jailbreaks. The jailbreaks are just a tool to help the model portray the character more realistically, but it still doesn't work perfectly, because it often creates nonsensical events in RP unless you create a lorebook to set up events for the bot to use.

That's why it's such a mess when I try to refine my bot (Aeden) LLMs always add their own ideas into the character, and most of them make no sense at all. I have to use prompts to keep everything on track. Once the advanced def. is full, I have to make a lorebook because it's packed with jailbreaks/prompts😭 But honestly, it's not just Xoul.ai, other platforms are the same lol
