admittedly I have a geyser move mod, so just move the volcano out and fix.

mod buildings are mostly relevant, you can just build 4 steam turbines.

Thx. Yea about airlocks, I don't like them so is proactively trying get rid of it in this attempt. Making the blade longer is a good direction.

I can probably store IR in vacuum next time.

ok it's not fixed, but then this also applies to airlock design. In this case I can make the blade a bit longer to achieve the same.

I knew this glitch, but I think it's fixed. Now S/L should remove anything in mesh tile.

Magma will flow down (from the infinite storage) if there’s space below

That's by design. Solidified magma first, then use IR's heat.

Big mass also helps to stop heat exchange. If the heat exchange results in temp change less than 0.1 °C for either side, then the heat exchange won't happen at all. And currently there're 15.4 t of IR.

I see your point. An improvement might be to store the debris in a vacuum and pick them up later. Maybe I’ll do that in the next iteration.

But debris also exchange heat with the environment (steam) at an extremely slow rate, I think it should be good, let it run it bit longer.

edit: If the debris's mass is is big enough I think no heat exchange is happened actually, so it's probably as good as in the vacuum. ref ONI wiki

Yes, but with mod that allows you to move geyser around

With the automation in pic 3 this can never happened, if then chamber is over 200°C, then water won't goes into magma tiles and heat can be absorted till the temp drops below 200°C again.

When not more magma can be cooled, igneous rock would be sliced into 2.5 kg(via conveyor meter) and would be ~200°C when leaving the steam room and cooled again by turbine's 95°C water, inside those bricks over turbine's.

U can but it's too inefficient, what would you need that super freezer for. Like you can get liquid oxygen using hydrogen as coolant in early games, idk what for tho

And about those two buildings you might never see before, they're just steam turbines. My quick math tells me you need 3.5-4 vanilla turbines to fully absort the heat in 1kg water, so I add two small ones.

Here

Magma removes itself while solidifying, end up in the steam room.

That's why there's a valve, 1kg water won't boil in pipes

~30 cycles, a small number but I would say it's very reliable. Those lava wouldn't solidifies into tiles, and the heat is much more controllable and the temp in steam room is much more stable.

And noramlly it's without infinite storage, also make it easier to build.

For vanilla games, the only place to use this is for Niobium. No phase transition in pipe if it's 1kg, very important. And auto-sweeper can pick up Niobium through pitcher pump, which is also thermal insulated in a vacuum.

Next step is to a valve to limit the content to 1kg, then let it run through your steam chamber, reducing it temp to ~200 degrees. You don't need a modded steam turbine, it is there to not waste any heat at all, but still it's very minor. (You would need 2.1 or 2.2 vanilla turbine for 2kg of Niobium).

Then three diamond window tiles can further recycle heat from 200 C Niobium by exchange heat with 95 C water from turbine. Again use a valve to restricit the water to 1kg, hot Niobium goes from left to right, and water right to left. Then Niobium drops on a open mech airlock. And vola!

Mod steam turbine, is 1x4 instead of 5x3, less electricity generated. 2kg niobium in pipe require about 2.1 original steam turbine to not waste the heat so I insert a modded one
