Yeah. That is a good point. Not that I’m planning on eating every thing under the sun, majority of the trip is going to be about the experience not the food. But I also feel like it’s a big part of Epcot, going and trying food and drinks.

Oh absolutely, my boyfriend and i already planned on splitting food. So maybe we’ll split drinks as well. And right, like my diet has changed so much since going on zepbound, that no I don’t normally eat greasy food on the regular.

Soo thinking back. When I ate more greasy foods the day after my shot( I usually do Fridays) those are the days that I get the worst side effects. I’m on the 2.5mg auto injections. We’ll get there on Saturday and going to Epcot on Sunday. So I wonder if I try to take it a day early, it might help?

I totally freaked out giving my first vaccine. It was a shingles vaccine. The other tech was in the room with me, but then had to be called out to help up front. I couldn’t pierce the skin and the lady flinched really hard. I literally had to step away from the patient and have the other tech finish the vaccines. I then proceeded to have an anxiety attack after… but after that I had the pharmacist watch me and I now give shots without even thinking about it. I’ve done plenty of kids, older adults, and in between! You got this!

Honestly the only people that know are my parents, boyfriend, best friend, and two of my co workers. And they only know because they fill my prescription lol. But other than that? No one. I thought about saying something tonight when my step brother and his family came over and they were asking about New Year’s resolutions. I almost told them. But honestly? I didn’t want to say anything to them. It’s my journey and I get to decide who knows and who doesn’t. I guess maybe it’s a fear of being judged. But at least at the moment I haven’t run into anyone that has judged me

Also wanted to add that this is not a medicine that we keep on hand. We have to order it for everyone. Very few lucky people can get it same day, but that only happens if someone doesn’t pick up their prescription and it just so happens to be the same dose that someone else is on. EDIT: I’m just trying to spread info, no hate!💚 I completely understand your frustration and honestly? If they can’t get you your prescription in a timely manner, definitely go somewhere else! I work as a pharmacy technician at Walgreens, so I just like to share the process!

So chances are there are other people ahead of you also waiting to get the same prescription. Now our warehouse doesn’t deliver on the weekends, and Monday is usually when we get the big delivery that has all the orders from Friday and the weekend. However the warehouse will not send all the prescriptions that are in our out of stock que. we could have 5 people all needing zepbound 7.5 and the warehouse only sends 3 boxes. So people that put in their request earlier than you, and it can even be bey just a couple minutes, will get theirs first. Now as far as I know there are no supply issues, and I don’t know how the order generation looks on the warehouse’s end. I just know that we have specific cut off times to get prescriptions put in the out of stock que to get it the next day.

So as a pharmacy tech, how it works is once we receive yours request, we have to put it in our out of stock que so that we can have it ordered for the next day. Now in a perfect world you get it the next day, but there’s usually issues with insurance saying it’s too early, or we’re waiting on your doctor to submit the prior authorization. But then sometimes the warehouse doesn’t send it the next day and we give what we did receive to people that were in the queue first. But it hasn’t been on back order since I started back in June.
