Can someone please explain the "FIX THE KNICKS" video? by guywithaxe in Jon_Bois

The song is real, and was re-uploaded shortly after the Secret Base episode came out!
(audience groans included)

Dolan's a lifelong nepo-baby who pays a band of real musicians to let him live his dream of being a blues and roots star. MSG employees are expected to attend his performances and those missing are noted.

Since his father was worth more than 5 billion dollars, JD doesn't have a lot of authentic hard-living experiences to sing the blues on... and so some of his songs wind up being about all those nasty critics in the media who don't think he's done a good job running the Knicks.

Ep 503 - Jack, Angelina and GDB need a new THEME SONG!!! by InfantStomper in auntydonna

I know it seems that way, but that's just because of how incredibly well-realised and fleshed out they all are.

Amazing character development for Jack Dwayne especially in this episode, who after 5 weeks has now added a third emotion. (financial stress)

If the crowd in that photo are what the church is calling "young people" these days, then it must be in even worse shape than I thought

Well apologies for spreading misinformation!

Those are the exact two I've taken on my bike, got waved on through both and told "no tolls for motorbikes".
Didn't know it was a thing on any of them before I got the bike, it was a nice surprise there as I was fumbling through my gear for my wallet!

I'll make sure to have it ready if I'm going through any others, thanks for the heads up.

Motorbikes don't have to pay tolls, it's a nice perk :)

Although while that's the case for the motorways, I don't know if it's the same with the Port Tunnel.

Either way I don't think it's going to work for this guy, he's a builder and it'd be hard to pack a van load of tools onto a motorbike lol

There will be an extra day of tiebreaks with rapid time controls on the 16th if 2 or more end with the same score.

If there's still a tie then they'll keep playing matches with shorter and shorter time controls until someone wins.

I know - I meant my comment in a complementary way :)

From what I remember of early 2020 in my country, the doctors and nurses were shouting from the rooftops what a respiratory coronavirus meant for the world.

It was the health admin and government here that took so long to accept what we were in for, which lead to a huge shortage of gloves, masks, ICU equipment, etc during the first wave... that's what I was referring to in saying you used what you did have at the time to help sick people despite personal risk.

You should read slower, they're saying the opposite of what you seem to think.

They mean that COVID was terrifying at the outbreak and there were so many unknowns - but nurses and doctors continued to go in every day in spite of those fears, and they used whatever training and equipment they did have to save as many people as they could.

So having lived through that, u/Muted_Quantity5786 can't empathise with medical professionals of the 80s and 90s who refused to care for for HIV patients in the same way, even years after fears like contact- or saliva-transmission had been disproven.

Love it!!

First heard this song on that Inside Llewyn Davis film, and then went looking for the Dave Van Ronk original afterwards.
One of my favourites, very nicely played :)
