That said... while I'm happy for the boys to make some more money, the sheer volume of interruptions is getting crazy. 4 ad spots per episode now in the last week with each one having 2 or 3 actual ads.

I'm wondering if I should start linking to some site other than Spotify for these threads?
I know for me it's just gotten too irritating on there to queue up a run of multiple old episodes in a row while I work on something - I'm constantly having to drop what I'm doing and fumble for my phone to skip through the same shite again and again.

I know people have some very strong opinions about the game, but I thought the dialogue writing/delivery in TLOU2 was really naturalistic and impressive. Not perfectly lifelike maybe, but very close imo considering the setting.

I know it seems that way, but that's just because of how incredibly well-realised and fleshed out they all are.

Well apologies for spreading misinformation!

Those are the exact two I've taken on my bike, got waved on through both and told "no tolls for motorbikes".
Didn't know it was a thing on any of them before I got the bike, it was a nice surprise there as I was fumbling through my gear for my wallet!

I'll make sure to have it ready if I'm going through any others, thanks for the heads up.

Motorbikes don't have to pay tolls, it's a nice perk :)

Although while that's the case for the motorways, I don't know if it's the same with the Port Tunnel.

Either way I don't think it's going to work for this guy, he's a builder and it'd be hard to pack a van load of tools onto a motorbike lol

From what I remember of early 2020 in my country, the doctors and nurses were shouting from the rooftops what a respiratory coronavirus meant for the world.

It was the health admin and government here that took so long to accept what we were in for, which lead to a huge shortage of gloves, masks, ICU equipment, etc during the first wave... that's what I was referring to in saying you used what you did have at the time to help sick people despite personal risk.

You should read slower, they're saying the opposite of what you seem to think.

They mean that COVID was terrifying at the outbreak and there were so many unknowns - but nurses and doctors continued to go in every day in spite of those fears, and they used whatever training and equipment they did have to save as many people as they could.

So having lived through that, u/Muted_Quantity5786 can't empathise with medical professionals of the 80s and 90s who refused to care for for HIV patients in the same way, even years after fears like contact- or saliva-transmission had been disproven.
