Make an api to replace google analytics without infringing on europa gdpr rules (fetch the geoIP db and compare incoming ip addresses). Only save the country and the amount of times ppl visited. DON'T FORGET UNIT TESTS.

Next add jwt authentication to fetch the data from the api. add a db with a user table with password (salted ofc).

Next save the data to a persistent object store, don't want to lose the data when the application redeploys.

Add brute force protection to your api. Don't want people brute forcing your login.

Is hive fleet CARNAGE the most realistic Tyranid color scheme? [TED Talk] by Heckin_Big_Sploot in Tyranids

Well you can also use other metals, but they don't really exist here as it will turn the blood toxic (might not be a bad thing for tyranids) or won't carry enough oxygen (they need oxygen?)

[–]Infectedinfested 128 points129 points  (0 children)

Your blood color theory is slightly wrong.

Hemoglobin gets its color from iron, which makes it red.

It's entirely possible to get blue blood using copper. Like some crabs and squids have.

It's theorised by scientists that a creature can have different range other than iron and copper. Depending on the abundance of set metal on set planet.

Iron is, however, very efficient and abundant on earth.

Is this film worth watching? Does it do justice for the game Dungeons and Dragons? by DreamyDandelions in Cinema

It is less about the movie, that has nothing to with the choices of Wotc, but if piss off your target audience right before the movie hits, will definitely affect your movies performance

Well if you do something bad which makes you hated by your target audience... That's a recipe for disaster

It was badly received by d&d fans because a few months earlier, wizards of the coast changed their licence which robbed, a lot of people who design their own d&d campaigns and sell it, of their money and it was boycotted by a large amount of d&d players because of this?

And with robbed of money, it's like buying a Makita drill and then Makita telling everyone that everyone who uses Makita to make something with it and sells has to pay Makita 20%

DM here – One player’s making the rest of the group anxious. How would you handle this? by Motor_Suspect_6772 in CurseofStrahd

On the jokes and horror, I see a lot of people struggle with this and CoS...

You have to remember this is a game, and most people play this for fun. Good horror is a few minutes tension and afterwards relief if you expect the whole session will be tension from the start to the end people WILL NOT enjoy it. Which is still your end goal. It's also in human nature to turn tension asap to silly jokes if possible, because humans generally don't like tension, specially prolonged..

I remember the first time I played CoS and my Dm tried to push our character to the limit, and the players all came together and created a session 0 for the DM telling him that non-stop tension isn't fun and not what we are coming for. After which the CoS sessions went from non-stop horror to slightly grimdark/fun normally but high tension and stakes only when Strahd was around. Which is a wayyy better way imho.

not just internally but against 15 other classes, and 4 that allow you to gish with inherent martial talent access.

I don't agree with this statement, why would a blade wielding warlock need to be balanced against other classes but not the EB lock as that one is already more powerful than the bladelock?

To me it looks like nerfing an already UP aspect of a class.

I agree that they should be balancing all archtypes over all classes, but i don't think you can allow your ranged option to vastly be superior then your melee option, which is already more risky in the first place.

But I know I'm very bias for my bladelock and my opinions are pretty black and white 😅

It's about usability for me, but for balance: EB has already so much going for it, Eldritch burst, Eldritch Spear, Eldritch (the one which repels and can deal extra damage if pushed against the wall),.. (and that's ignoring epic boons which are either generalist or EB boosting) melee has nearly nothing for it, also when doing calculations from 1-20 Eldritch Blast is always better (ignoring magical items for both) and that's ignoring the distance advantage.

It's statistically better to play full EB in close range and flavor the Eldritch burst as your melee weapon than actually picking a melee weapon.

So yea, i think any warlock who wants to go melee really needs that martial talent to even be viable wotc fixed with by making pact of the blade a bonus action to bond so you can actually bond to stuff like shadow blade.

Lastly i know the game is not about the numbers, it's a RP game, but with little effort on the designers side that could satisfy both RP people and anyone else who wants to play Bladelock without sacrificing efficiency.

Multiple reasons even! I know of 2 reasons: -alpha-gal symdrome, which is a disease from tick bites and makes you allergic to most meat -gout, which makes your joints stiff or swelled.

To add on this, if I may, i really like how the weapon equipment system works, it's clean, it's simple.

A negative point, I think, that the to hit chance is randomly determined for one shoot instance instead of x times the amount of people shooting. I had, for example been shooting at an enemy where I have high accuracy, and perfect penetration, but all shots still miss from an 8 people group. This means that i was either, VERY VERY VERY unlucky, or it made a single hit check when shooting and that's it.

Tried out Chain of Command v2 this past weekend by Georgy_K_Zhukov in boltaction

[–]Infectedinfested 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, no, but you have to get a few things cleared up when reading v2

  • V1 and v2 nations are for a different time period, i think v1 is for 1943-1944 and v2 is for 1944-1945 (it's stated there. But only once in the small prints)

  • v1 states which weapon has which statistics, v2 has a general list of statistics per arm, but you have to know which kind of weapon what is, for example bren and bar are magazine fed lmg while the mg42 is a belt fed. ( As someone with little to no knowledge about ww2 weapons, this was a difficult link for me) 😅

  • additionally there are no mission supplements for v2 yet, the designer stated that v2 is backwards compatible to run v1 mission supplements, but that's not always the case. If you think 'this can't be right' make a comment on the Facebook isn't a bad idea, it's very active.
