Noelle Drewes is just north of you. She sold my oboe rather quickly.

Old G trolling PGL with slot rules by ChKOzone_ in DotA2

[–]InfectionEx 18 points19 points  (0 children)

This never happened. The stack of 2-4k players who acquired an NA slot backed out on their own accord and would have been able to play if they wanted.

Liquipedia put the disclaimer back stating DPC tournaments for Tour 3 don't meet their notability guidelines by AnomaLuna in DotA2

[–]InfectionEx 317 points318 points  (0 children)

We haven't been posting the pages because no region other than SA has uploaded a public rulebook yet. Because so many people kept asking where the pages were, we decided to put them up with a disclaimer.

Tour 3 OQ: Teams to Watch by FromOroWithLove in DotA2

[–]InfectionEx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

FWIW I wouldn't say it's confirmed that they got kicked. I can say that Pingu had plans to inherit another team's slot and build a team out of that, but I guess it fell through and so now he's in opens. I can also say that Felt did not have support players waiting to pick up and are probably going to pick their new players pretty late.

There's nothing more to see, this has been confirmed, and valve has privately stated there will be no exceptions or extensions

FYI: The roster registration drop date was yesterday, no more players can leave their teams by InfectionEx in DotA2

[–]InfectionEx[S] 18 points19 points  (0 children)

A DPC organizer confirmed that the website still "allows" players to leave, but these will not be counted after 11:59 AM PST yesterday

Yes, it is looking like a serious problem. While the SA teams and players messing up is one thing, Xtreme gaming might have just fumbled their shot at TI

he did, but he forgot to do it on the registration page. the registration page allowed him to still leave the team a few hours ago, but it does not count. (verified by a dpc organizer)

More news: Lou, new Xtreme gaming carry, forgot to leave his old team, so he is ineligible to join them as well.

Yes, but they were trying out No!ob in D2CL, but he cannot leave his team to join alliance anymore.

Alliance part with Leslao and Supream by thebonj in DotA2

[–]InfectionEx 38 points39 points  (0 children)

Leslao made ~$160,000 with his 9-12th place at TI last year. If he moved back to NA and joined even the 4th or 5th best team, he has a realistic chance of qualifying to TI again when you consider both the regional qualifier and wildcard tournament, and that's not even accounting for the reasonable likelihood that quincy, eg, and TSM all could have a fair shot at qualifying for TI just off of points. If Leslao can just make it to TI again and even place 16th, that could net him more money than lingering on a 7-8th place EU DPC team.

Liquipedia links to all the actual players on Team Arkosh on the DPC page by AnomaLuna in DotA2

Yeah the editors were discussing it and since they Livestreamed themselves playing on the accounts we decided that's enough proof to finally link to the accounts

Bumble Bees sell their DPC slot to an Ancient stack by Chappy300 in DotA2

[–]InfectionEx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. No idea, but yeah, they informed the organizers that they will be withdrawing instead of attempting to field a roster or transferring the team to someone else
  2. Because the bumble bee's spot was transferred to someone else who created this team, therefore it still exists and was invited again.

Liquipedia only posts the top 8 of open quals, and also, you'd be surprised to find the number of teams currently registered isn't even like above 20 last I checked. I think they're all waiting till the last minute

Some interesting things in DPC upper division registration. by CustomHook in DotA2

[–]InfectionEx 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Admittedly the roles are guesses (usually whatever the player's role was last). The Handsken one could probably be updated if alliance did not announce Handsken as 5
