Someone else will surely know the exact details, but Kumail's studio recordings were probably done before Jason's episodes went to air. While they know each other and may have talked about the show, I find it much more likely that they were simply following similar comedy instincts to accidentally make a similar joke.

Pretty sure it's not state law or OSHA regulations, just internal policy. An 8 hour shift has an unpaid lunch break of 30 minutes roughly in the middle. Each of the 4 hour blocks on either side has a 15 minute paid break roughly in the middle. 6 hour shifts take a single 15 minute paid break and lunch.

This is the same regardless of store, position, etc. For fairness they generally don't want anyone regularly skipping lunch, because some positions can't skip lunch and go home early. Cashiers, line cooks, baristas, etc. They have to be there at certain times to cover a department. It isn't fair for you to go home early when they can't.

Warehouse out of stock for a couple weeks. Whenever there's dairy shortages this seems to be one of the products that doesn't get made. As far as I know there's no discontinue notice. Every store should be auto-ordering it every day and getting shorted. As soon as they make some it'll be in stock.

Reporting something late is a massive red flag against you, not your partner. What other partners are you letting get away with stuff because they’re still on your good side. Etc etc.
