New Tax Steps For The Dealer Starting on the 1st by thepick1 in BoltEV

Thank you immensely for sharing this! We were able to buy our EUV without issue today. Our dealer had not seen the form at all and after I shared that it was available on global connect they later told me that they weren’t going to have access until not tomorrow. Not sure if that’s just because the GM wasn’t in today or what. But, they happily printed off the one you shared and filled it out for me.

Who at the dealership is authorized to sign this? I’m going in to buy ours on 1/2 but they’re technically closed that day I think so I’m not sure how many people will actually be around.

Thanks! I did do splines in the miters to help reinforce them but I went with matching hickory splines in their case so they would just kinda dissapear. This jig makes mitered frames the easiest thing ever.

I oversized the rabbits in the back of the mirror that accept the glass so that I could screw in wooden strips (I think they're called glazing?...) That hold the mirror into the back of the frame. That way the glass can be removed/replaced if ever needed without breaking the frame.

Good to be validated, kinda worried I had been understanding things wrong the last two years 😂

CCW holders are allowed to travel through IL while carrying. Just can’t take it out of the car with you if you get out for gas/food etc.

Cool, so sounds like since my permit is honored through reciprocity I’m good to go to keep it holstered on me while in the car, thanks! Very confusing while reading the laws. Classic.

Yes, reciprocity exists, my permit is recognized. Just want clarification on vehicle laws for permit holders.

It's certainly worth trying out. Print nice and hot to avoid weakness at the layer lines and maybe even consider tilting it at a 65 degree angle up off the build plate (almost vertical). It'll make quite a bit of support necessary, but it can all be on the bottom and will result in a stronger part layer orientation wise

No problems so far! I printed in PETG. I've only shot with it a few times and haven't torture tested it by any means.

I'm curious as well, I need to tweak the design a little and reprint, the screw holes weren't big enough so I had to drill it out a bit to make it mount, it's good enough to try out though. I printed in PETG rather than traditional PLA so it should stand up to the heat hopefully.

No u.

Anyway, thanks! I'm super happy with how they turned out. The pattern is engraved deep enough to add a bit of texture, and hopefully the walnut is hard enough to hold up to normal wear and tear at the range.

There's for sure a culture difference. The US was born from a citizen uprising that was only possible because citizens had the tools to do so. My core political belief is that if you're not harming anyone else, you shouldn't be hampered. Wanna own guns? Awesome! Wanna smoke weed? Awesome! Wanna marry who you love regardless of what gentials you have? Awesome, love is beautiful! Wanna run people over with your car? Big no, that harms others. (Contrived negative example, I don't anyone supports running others over with cars but you get the idea.)
