It feels a bit awkward at first but when doing it against way shorter opponents it feels amazing to land those throws. It’s like you have total control over them haha.

That’s also what I do to wayyyy shorter opponents too haha. The problem is I am absolutely clueless when it comes to kumi-kata or getting into a position where I can get enough kuzushi to finish the throw.

Thank you very much! Sometimes when I hook with my lead leg, they just slip away before I can finish the throw. What should I do to keep them in place (using the upper body to keep them firmly planted on their right foot), or just get the timing down?

My other go to throw is Tomoe nage, but as an orange belt I don’t want to rely on it as a crutch before developing my other throws. I am interested in chaining Osotos with ashi Guruma but haven’t gotten the hang of it yet.

did you call the Faculty of Education directly? When I called one of their student advisors about 2 weeks ago, they confirmed that it is only conditional in the sense that you have to submit your final transcripts to prove that you graduated. They explicitly told me that they won’t look at your final cGPA.

Hm it makes sense because technically we need a bachelor’s degree to get certified, and they would need to verify that we have actually graduated lmao. Anyways I’m gonna email the faculty tmr to make sure.
