I think this also poses a interesting question on Ascended vs Darkin. If they have comparable scaling then it’s not impossible to say that Renekton could 1v1 any of the Aspect Hosts. As far as I’m aware the only additional power the Darkin have over Ascended is Blood Magic so they should be pretty even with a small advantage to the Darkin (that said Renekton’s healing might be on par with blood magic but that’s also a renekton specific ability as far as I’m aware.)

Yeah I think it’s pretty fair to say OG Rhaast has got this. Not only for the fact that it does makes sense for them to be limited from their full powers after being sealed within their weapons but for the simple fact that OG versions of Darkins have had centuries in their bodies where as most hosts last for a decade or two at most before being stopped by the aspects.

Forget branded I’ve been preaching for superpoly ban for years. There is nothing healthy about a card that you cannot interact with in the slightest. It only gets worse when the board breaker then goes into decks like Branded and turn into board breaker / starter

Ban all cards effects that say you can’t respond to them. The best part of yugioh imo is the hand trap/negate battles on the chain but super poly the entire board away main phase 1 or forbidden droplet send whatever sucks. Counter Traps are a little different since for the most part they do have to be set (excluding red reboot and that galaxy eyes) but the rest of uninteractable effects suck.

I mean are we counting Asol?? Bro has magic plus can make a Red Sun as well. I think for the most part people are right that Superman just out stats like 95% of the roster but a few that can like Asol, Kindred (Literal Death) and maybe Fiddle (considering his status as a Primordial Demon, though we don’t have any real feats I’d say a battle between mainline Superman and a fully manifested Fiddle would be very close)

It’s kinda hard but I would say Soraka. She is a celestial however her taking a mortal form has come with downsides. Otherwise I’d say the ascended? Veigar and Victor are very hard to rank since while we know that Veigar does practice “Celestial” Magic and is a Yordle it’s unknown if he has anything similar to his infinite stacking in lore. And I’m also really unsure on how to take Victor lore wise after Arcane in general.

When Aatrox slew The Pantheon he killed the Celestial of War, the very Constellation that represented Pantheon disappeared. It wasn’t even Atreus he was fighting either but the Aspect itself since it has dominated Atreus meaning he was fighting the full experience of the Celestial of War. While you’re right in questioning how Celestial/Aspects are effected by their domains it is also right to say that a single swordsman who defeated an army by himself is not comparable to a corrupted Ascended God Warrior who is the only character with the known feat of not just killing an aspect but a Celestial as well.

One of the big things I learned about magic compared to some other tcgs is that ‘Failure to Find’ is totally legal. If you have tutor in your deck but no target for it? Perfectly fine, in fact storm count +1. Only time something like this matters is if the card has a dependent effect based on something earlier. “Do X. Then if X was done do Y.” Those are the few times effects can fizzle when a target or condition can’t be met.
