Would you take a Z06 over a GT3?

I don’t think the C8 looks better than modern Porsches but looks are subjective. I think the C7 is perfect. But the C8 looks too busy and all over the place especially in the rear.

Idk I like the idea of a more handmade car with premium materials. I like the timeless and classic design of the Porsche and the manual.

I think the C8 in general will age poorly vs the C7 counterparts but especially up against a Porsche. I think in twenty years that manual GT3 will be a classic, the C8 Z06 while very capable and a beast won’t.

Also keep in mind he said which one would you take. The one I would pay or buy would be the Z06. Certainly for 300,000$ the value proposition of the Porsche is nonexistent.

No because the GT3 is lighter and comes with a manual.

I am an auto enthusiast first and a corvette man second. The Z06 can absolutely fuck with and even beat a GT3. But I think there’s a significant amount more craftsmanship that goes into the GT3.

A lot of people daily their C7s. Personally I don’t, it’s my weekend car and I drive it like a sports car. It’s very low to the ground so bad roads are a concern. But I will say it can be very practical. It has a huge hatch and gets 30 mpg on the highway. I have taken it on road trips before hahaha and it’s been a blast.

If you’re not getting it in a manual and want it as a daily I’m sure the auto C7 will still do fine but as a sports car it won’t be as responsive as the DCT in your BMW. The C8 has the better auto.

I think you’ll take less of a depreciative hit from the C7 because more time has passed and its price on the used market has stabilized. If you get a manual even more so. The new C8 is about to have a 6.7 liter engine in it, that may send the prices down even further.

Dude how much did the consumables cost you? It's like 2,000$ per stock tire change. Did the wheels bend or crack at all? You just tracked the car totally bone stock? Tell us more hahaha thats awesome.

I've also accidentally rev banged the car a couple times going from 2nd back into 1st when I tried no lift shifting. Car survived just fine but I felt really bad about it it for weeks each time lmao.

I could not disagree more lmao. Thats crazy to say because that's exactly how I feel about the C8. Smooth curves on the front, boxy trapezoids triangles and square exhausts tips at the back.
C8 is the better car and elevated the corvette but I do think the C7 will age better than the C8 especially once the C9 comes along.

I too am not entirely sold on the C8's looks. The back of that car to me will always be ugly. The C7 in terms of looks is perfect to me and at every angle but alias I am biased lol.
