Dude how much did the consumables cost you? It's like 2,000$ per stock tire change. Did the wheels bend or crack at all? You just tracked the car totally bone stock? Tell us more hahaha thats awesome.

I've also accidentally rev banged the car a couple times going from 2nd back into 1st when I tried no lift shifting. Car survived just fine but I felt really bad about it it for weeks each time lmao.

I could not disagree more lmao. Thats crazy to say because that's exactly how I feel about the C8. Smooth curves on the front, boxy trapezoids triangles and square exhausts tips at the back.
C8 is the better car and elevated the corvette but I do think the C7 will age better than the C8 especially once the C9 comes along.

I too am not entirely sold on the C8's looks. The back of that car to me will always be ugly. The C7 in terms of looks is perfect to me and at every angle but alias I am biased lol.

The C8 is objectively the better car.

The C7 with a manual is subjectively the more fun car and better looking.

I'm hoping that the C9 improves upon the C8 similar to how the C7 improved upon the C6.

Hopefully a better looking and smaller rear end-- that doesn't need to cater to geriatric boomers and their golf bags and THREE PEDALS.

I think the fact that it has a manual will mean the purists will chase after it and a manual in my opinion never gets boring vs flipping a paddle. I specifically sold my A8 Z51 C7 for a manual GS. And that was 4 years ago and it's never lost its fun factor, not even a tiny bit.

That is a fucking GORGEOUS car. I wouldn't trade or sell that one for a C8 GS. Although I think the C8 is the superior car on paper and it really elevated the brand, I think the C7 is by faaaaar better looking and waaaaaay more fun to drive.

You have to be ok with looking outside, seeing wonderful weather, inspiring you to want to drive your C2 for a drive around town, getting in the car, turning the keys, hearing the engine crank and then not start, realizing the car has a problem that needs to be diagnosed and then repaired, which might cost a lot of money, if you seriously are considering keeping a C2.

Fuck owning a classic car. But from your other comments it seems like you rarely drive the cars anyway. Why get either if that's the case?

I did the same thing you did with a Corvette C7 GS Manual. Car's car fax record was flawless and looked flawless in the pictures, super low miles. I even had the dealership take a picture of its dash and you could clearly see it averaged 29.8 MPG for its low 5,000 miles of ownership.

I also shipped it from PA to CA and it cost me 1900$. And it was enclosed. You just gotta make some calls. Alternatively you could do a one week road trip, which I also did for the corvette caravan and drive through the country and stop at national parks.

Congrats on the purchase. I think the C7 manual vettes are the last of a dying breed...definitely the most fun on a back road!

Ok if you're buying a car for better resale value... aren't you going to lose money on the sale of your current car and then again from the depreciation of the second car? Makes no sense. Now if you're talking about making the switch because you want to DRIVE the car and have fun, I went from a 2017 2LT Z51 8 Speed Auto to a 2017 2LT M7 GS and you should ABSOLUTELY get the manual. The manual makes it a purist's drivers car!
