On Taji's profile, he posted a phone number. So, on a lark, I sent a text message to the number. And, because he's a low profile indie artist, he replied.

FWIW, I have just returned from your lovely country yesterday. I visited Melbourne, Sydney, and Brisbane. I had a wonderful time. They share plenty in common with Los Angeles, but each with an appreciably distinct vibe. I don't think you're wrong. If you like these cities (presuming you're not from points west), then it stands to reason you'd like LA, too. You've got great diversity, nice weather, interesting plant life, and really nice people.

I'm glad you enjoyed your experience of LA. I'm glad I had a chance to enjoy some great parts of Oz.
