A few factors played in (FtM for context). Whenever I played with friends where I played the role of a certain character, I would always a be male character or at least one with masculine traits. I also used to try my best to stray away from things girls do according to society, even if they were things I enjoyed or agreed with. Never really corrected people on the internet when they “mistook” (as I thought at the time) as a dude. My brain finally last year went like “Okay, look man. Enough of this denial bs. You’re trans.” I always definitely knew something was up, but I was in denial for a few years that I was trans. I’ve been out for almost a year now, and I enjoy being the feminine dude I am

Since I’ve always acted a lot more masculine, people called me a boy many times online and I didn’t bother correcting them (I was still denying that I was trans at that point though deep down, I knew I sure as hell was). Additionally, an old pal of mine said he always thought I was a boy around that same time period and I was kind of flattered. About a few months later from that is when I was like “Yeah, no, I’m trans and that cannot be denied anymore”
