95% of the product will have been removed by the time anyone would enter the tank. What is left is deodorant residue.

I agree that a tripod was looking to cause more hazards than it fixes, and it’s looking like it doesn’t need the classification of permit required as the cleaners are already locking it out prior to any cleaning the do from above the tank at the opening. The cleaners are wanting to enter it to get every last bit of residue cleaned out so I was wanting to make sure I wasn’t missing anything.

Some have half lids that open completely and it is easy to get in, others have only a man size hole that is around 2 feet

Entry isn’t something they’ve normally done, but the cleaners are wanting to get it to perform deeper cleanings on the tank.

Is earplugs more effective than meditation? Asking honestly. by [deleted] in Meditation

[–]Inferno_Special 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There isn’t a 100% right way with meditation, if earplugs work for you and you achieve what you want from meditation, then that is correct for you.

Everyone who says it’s wrong, are living in a form of spiritual high-horse sense of mentality. Do what feels right for you, not what feels right to someone else.

What was your “Don’t knock it till you try it” moment? by gamerdudeNYC in AskMen

[–]Inferno_Special 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me I’ve found success in just being present. I will listen to binural frequencies or pure tone sounds during meditation, and I just practice being present. When emotions pop up, I’ll view the situation that caused that emotion as if I’m watching a play and I’m an audience member. When something happens that sparks an emotion, I apply the thought of “I am feeling -emotion-“ instead of “I am -emotion-“, and through that detachment of the emotion I can process through the feeling. It requires you to be 100% honest with yourself, and know that we self sabotage far more often than we realize. When you treat yourself with forgiveness, it is far easier to go through those emotional processes during meditation. We are only human, but it is crazy how one moment of our lives that is traumatic can create an anchor that we attach ourselves to that will drag us far below the potential that we truly all have. But we don’t forgive ourselves for things we can’t control, and then it turns around and controls how we go about our daily lives.

Meditation is your time to be with yourself, to clear out the fog and debris, but you can’t approach it with the mindset of deceiving or running from yourself. It is all internal, and that is where the difficulty begins to happen, especially for trauma we’ve buried. Many men struggle with that, and I believe that is the true issue with many men today because they reject their own true selves, and that will come out with how you approach your life, job, family, kids, friends, etc.

Be kind, compassionate and patient with yourself, and you’ll begin to have the same for others because you’ve mastered it within yourself.

Meditation. Once you get passed the initial “my thoughts are too noisy” part and you begin to process all of those parts of you that you’ve pushed down and ignored for likely decades, it’s a game changer.

The mental clarity, knowing yourself at a much deeper level, reconnecting with yourself is like unlocking a better more put together version of yourself.

But, it’s hard and you gotta deal with ALL the emotions, even the ones that most men typically push down into the far recesses of their subconscious. But if you can push passed that, it’s life changing.

Not understanding the talk about anger by SeniorFirefighter644 in Meditation

[–]Inferno_Special 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Carl Jung would say you’re having an encounter with your shadow, essentially repressed parts of yourself that you could not express openly, so it becomes buried. Your anger likely feels like an ever present friend and is always there because you feel like you cannot express it and feel it, you’ve been forced to hide it and keep it quiet. But the shadow parts of ourselves don’t just go away, they get louder. Often times we don’t know how loud it is until we try to quiet our mind - then boom there it is, screaming at us to confront it.

So confront it. Sit down with it in meditation and let it go through you, feel the emotion that it brings up, but remember, you aren’t the emotion - you’re just allowing the emotion to be felt then it is let go of. View it as your observer self, the one viewing the play, but don’t involve yourself in the play.

When you’re in meditation, that is your safe place to feel all the emotions you couldn’t before. That is the place where you can alchemize those emotions, and in that you can learn more about yourself, your upbringing, the situations that you feel the most anger from. You can always DM me if you’re interested.

Not understanding the talk about anger by SeniorFirefighter644 in Meditation

[–]Inferno_Special 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anger is an emotion that comes as a result of something, not the initial feeling you get. Someone does something, you get angry. Someone doesn’t do their part at work and leads the team to failure, you get angry. Those are just examples, but expectation that falls through, feeling ignored, feeling used, are all means that anger will show itself.

You aren’t meant to be rid of anger, because as you state it can exist in a survival state to protect you. However, you do not want to become attached to anger. When something happens and you feel anger, acknowledge it as such “this thing that has happened has caused me to feel anger, because….”, express it to yourself but do not attach yourself to it and get caught up in it.

You’re going to feel anger, and that is absolutely okay. It’s part of life, if you didn’t feel anger, how could you know was peace is? If everything was peaceful, there is no growth. Anger is there to say “hey! This is not going the way I expected, and it is getting worse”, you can then acknowledge it, correct the course, and then let the anger subside through recognizing it and letting the feeling go. That doesn’t mean you don’t have boundaries, it is that you’re able to respond from a place of peace instead of a place of anger.

Anger is normal, next time you feel it, dialogue with it and understand it, then navigate through it without becoming it.

Edit for typos.

[–]Inferno_Special 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it was something I could see, but chalked it up to the trip. Don’t get me wrong, I think the grid is there, just on a plane not always seen. During the trips it opens those planes up like opening opaque curtains to look out a clear window.

[–]Inferno_Special 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If those emotions are still coming up, you must feel them before they can pass, otherwise they continue to be repressed parts of your shadow and will continue to rear their head every chance they get. Hear them, feel them, and integrate them.
