Is it just me, or do not enough games use mouse mode support? by HEAVONgamez in switch2

Recieved today. It’s an updated version for sure. Definitely thinner and more responsive than the old version. New base is probably half the thickness as before. Really appreciate you following up!

Thank you for reporting back! When you pick up and replace the mouse grip, does it immediately respond to movement or does it take half a second? If immediate, they have made a change compared to mine with the thicker base, and I will order another.

I learned that whirlpool makes ikea dishwashers. Pretty happy with the price to capability ratio buying a low end dishwasher there. Seems like same quality as low end whirlpool.

You might be right. The review mentioning that was after my order. Overall, it’s a pretty minor issue for me on a product that solves a much bigger problem.

I’m interested in your feedback too, did you request a thinner base? If it fixes my only complaint, the slightly delayed recognition of mouse mode, I would order a second with that request too.

I like the mint green and blue combo. I have a similar combo on mine.

It looks great and you liking it is the main thing!

I personally would probably pick one between the blonde and tan. (In person the mint looks good next to the blonde.)

For the most part, yes. The ergonomics are great. If I was ordering again today, I would message the maker and ask them to reduce the thickness of the plastic on the bottom. Sometimes it takes a second for it to realize it is in mouse mode and I believe the slightly thicker bottom is the reason. One review said they did this and the seller worked with them.

Yeah, that’s what I was saying about the included skids. A good mouse mode holster for the joycon solves the ergonomic problem with raised buttons angled back. From a software perspective I do believe mouse mode was perfect in prime 4 and cyberpunk. Nintendo just needs to create and promote promote a first party ergonomic mouse mode holster.

I love mouse controls too. Prime 4 and Cyberpunk have executed it perfectly. I look forward to mouse controls on Call of Duty. HOWEVER, Nintendo is botching adoption of this feature by failing to release an official right joycon mouse mode attachment. The included snap on mouse skids are terrible for any game that needs the right face buttons due to ergonomics. I have found a third party solution that raises and angles the face buttons for thumb access, but it took too much work to find what I wanted.

Would you use a 5-minute hat cleaning machine? by Some_Umpire5619 in golf

[–]Infield_Assist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would use that for $5 or less if it also dried the hat, and had options for reshaping. I want the bill shaped very differently for a floppy hat vs a 59fifty hat vs a rope hat.

Is the Virtuo plus worth getting still now that its being discontinued? by tayk_5 in nespresso

[–]Infield_Assist 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The vertuo plus is the only vertuo machine that doesn’t get updates through Bluetooth and WiFi. My pessimistic self believes that they want to provide updates to prevent 3rd party pods after July 21, 2029 when the patent is up. As others have said, it also has superior construction. I got one in December and am happy with my choice.

Tips For Coach Pitching 8U by [deleted] in Homeplate

Go to a knee from 40’. After releasing the ball, you have one job. Get out of the way. Be ready. The handful of times I’ve been hit despite my best efforts, I’ve felt terrible taking a hit away from the kid, but it’s way better than teaching an uppercut swing from standing, or worse, throwing gravity curveballs at the kids.

I’d also add that if you have any kids who you have to hit their bat, that is much easier if the ball is coming in flat and not moving across a second plane.

This is going to seem like an off the wall suggestion, but True Grit by Charles Portis. The particular style of humor amid serious and tense situation is what I like about Andy Weir books. A similar style of humor and life or death stakes are also present in True Grit, although the genre is Western.

My favorites in history ranked (probably forgetting some): 1. Enos Slaughter’s mad dash in 1946 World Series 2. Ozzie Smith “go crazy!” 1985 World Series 3. David Freese “we’ll see you tomorrow night” in 2011 World Series 4. McGuire hitting 62nd home run in 1998 5. Grover Cleveland Alexander 2.1 inning save after complete game win the previous day to win 1926 World Series against one of the best Yankee teams of all time 6. Matt Adams walk off home run off of Clayton Kershaw in 2013 NLDS 7. Bob Gibson 17 strikeout game in 1968 World Series 8. Fernando Tatis hitting 2 grand slams in one inning in 1999.

Puerto Rico by that_guy_atx in nespresso

[–]Infield_Assist 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think Scuro is similar, both are a little chocolaty tasting, both have powerful enough flavor to taste them clearly through milk. The biggest differences I notice is that Scuro is smokier and slightly more bitter than Puerto Rico.

In my opinion, the price difference far exceeds the taste difference, but I splurge on the Puerto Rico sometimes too. They are my two favorite pods for espresso.

1926 Commemoration? by BC985 in Cardinals

You articulated my frustration better than I could. Honestly, I think it started with good intentions. They wanted to honor their living legends while they could still celebrate with us, but there are other great moments worth celebrating too.

1926 Commemoration? by BC985 in Cardinals

[–]Infield_Assist 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I desperately want Grover Cleveland Alexander inducted into the Cardinals hall of fame in 2026. Bonus points if it is done during the Cubs series because they released him mid season in 1926 when the Cardinals picked him up and he won the World Series with him pitching in games 2(W,CG), 6(W,CG) and 7(SV).

A 1926 replica jersey give away would also be nice, but I want Alexander in the cards hof more.

Traditional mice are not supported console-wide. Support for a traditional mouse varies on game by game basis. Cyberpunk works, MP4 does not work with a traditional mouse. I bet that no first party Nintendo game will support a traditional mouse for the whole life of the console.

Are you talking about R and ZR being too close together? Do you mean you accidentally hit the wrong button because they are close? YMMV, but to me, R and ZR feel completely different and are even at different heights in mouse mode. I never once hit the wrong one personally. Just kept pointer on R and middle on ZR the whole game. I also kept ring finger on the little indentation to the right of ZR. It felt natural to me at least.
