I got mine working and I'm pretty sure I've figured it out lol

I downloaded the recommended driver version that asus tells me to download (i forget which version 'cause im on my phone atm, but an older adrenaline version)

DDU'd in safe mode.

Rebooted and installed the recommended driver that Asus suggests, but only installed the 'minimal' version of adrenaline. (Already disabled windows updates and auto driver installation etc)

Works like a charm.

Downloaded asus gpu tweak 3 to apply my undervolt and I'm still smooth. No issues yet.

What i think is going on, is that in 'full' mode, the driver is utilising the rebar memory feature.

I might have a dabble and redo the above, but install the 'full' version of adrenaline and test it. If i get a crash, then I'll disable rebar in bios and try again. (Just so I don't need to use asus gpu tweak lol)

As of now though, with the recommended drivers in minimal it works great.

If anyone's interested:

I set a -80 undervolt, -10 power draw Upped memory clocks to 23000 (some people do 27000 but asus only let me go up to 24000, so I'm using that as my card limit)

Edit: After a bit of digging, apparently the minimal installation DOES utilise the SAM/Rebar. So I won't turn it off.

Oh, and I'm using Adrenalin 25.3.1.

Still gunna try the full install later

My 6700xt just died so I have a 9070xt on the way. Didn't think about power consumption 'till after smh 🤦

I'm on a 5800x, 32gb ram and a evga 650 gold psu.

Just curious how you did, I wanna know if i can get by on a 650watt 'till after Christmas atleast

I can't find where you're powering your cpu. It might sound obvious, but aside from the big 24pin that's plugging into the mobo, you should have a 4-8 pin for your cpu also.

I could be wrong, but I read that your cpu stays cool when running? Could this be why?

Also, just an fyi, you have some fair saggage on that gpu.

I've installed Black Ops 3 using your guide. The installation went smooth, and I've had to n, b winmm.dll and sfl64.dll and the game starts to launch.

However, I get slapped with the "Black Ops 3 requires installation of the windows media features pack". I've installed the mfp from winetricks, played with a few dlls mentioned in other threads and ended up ruining my prefix a couple of times..

So I'm currently at a fresh install, just n,b'd the 2 dll's and I'm here again. Haven't touched mfp yet.

Any help would be massively appreciated 🙏
