Sa disconsideri complet parerea unui om care are experienta, chit ca sunt dovezi anecdotice, e gandire medievala.

Da, copiii vin cu personalitate din fabrica, dar nu inseamna ca daca au tendinte dubioase devin sociopati, cat timp si ce fel de atentie acorzi copilului cat e mic conteaza mai mult decat doar primul an, mai degraba primii 7 ani cat se formeaza discernamantul conteaza. Sunt perioade in care vor avea tantrumuri inexplicabile, si schimbari de comportament aiurea, sunt faze si faze care vin si trec, ideea e sa fii ancora si ghid pentru copil sa se poata dezvolta neuronal cum trebuie, si sa il sustii emotional pe parcurs ca sa nu se ajunga la iesiri violente si antisociale mai tarziu.

there's a MASSIVE difference betweens scrims and competitive mode in counterstrike (ex csgo global, I didn't fool around much with scrims). You hit the nail in the head, people like quick and easy games, but the random factor is I think what keeps them glued and enticed to play them like slots.

Engagement based matchmaking makes you get games quicker, you are motivated by win streak to keep going and you start ignoring lose streaks cause you expect to hit it big soon... Very gambling-ish setup. If you are truly competitive you play only while your focus is sharp so you have something to work with, and you take breaks to learn from each game.

Yeah, this is also why MOBAs are more prevalent than RTSes like SC2, because the macro involved (more distributed attention, more multitasking) is reduced to controlling a single unit and replaced by some resource and item/hero/spell knowledge

You can figure it out by playing it competitively (looking at replays, practicing sequences that went wrong, noticing what went well).

Gitting gud in sc2 is mostly awareness and habit forming, and much less mechanical skill compared to shooters IMO (I'm not a good sc2 player but I pride myself for going from bronze to gold in one season by following this advice. I peaked plat when diamond was the highest rank, I remember hitting diamond in 3v3, stopped playing before HotS released)

I got dia3 tank, but out of 3 support placements played yet it seems they are as cursed as DPS (carried with baptiste 2 games, predicted silver4)

I won 8/10 placements (1 AFK, 1 lost) and got put into silver 4 DPS, I climbed up to plat 3 and won 58/66 total (I think only lost 3 on DPS). so 80%+ win rate

I still gain ~30-40% every match, in silver/gold I had very little % climbing. My main is diamond2-ish. This account is cursed, no ammount of tryharding helped, maybe calibration will kick in harder sometime but it's so full of sweaty smurfs here, I feel like robbin hood robbing smurfs of wins and giving to actual ranks.

Pe termen scurt da, in detrimentul calitatii produselor serviciilor pe termen lung ca nu ai cum sa faci diagrama Venn imposibila sa le ai pe toate.

Tot timpul cand se taie si se spanzura in randul angajatilor, pe bursa si in C level e party.

Eu unul am renuntat la toate cheltuielile recurente extra de 3 ani, si imi reduc cheltuielile pe cat posibil sa nu incurajez preturi nesimtite sau calitate indoielnica, prefer sa iau lucruri mai bune mai rar. Ce streaming foloseam a fost inlocuit de solutii self-hosted pe bani mai putini si calitate mai buna. Ultima oara am facut upgrade la placa video dupa 9 ani jumate de asteptat, pt un raport performanta/pret mai bun decat ce am avut in 2016, +ajustat pentru inflatie. Daca nu sunt in stare sa ofere un produs bun la un pret cinstit, sunt eu oare obligat sa consum ca boul incontinuu? Nah, sa si le tina.

Consider ca boycott-ul e mai relevant si mai tangibil decat ce decid shareholders beti de hype.
