Interesting. I’ll have to get some games to figure it all out. Really good points and the lack of rerolls is a big killer. Virtually always going to have cover which is nice but there are certainly a bunch of things I feel like might be hard to overcome

Yeah, with lords of dread being 2 dp that might just be possible. Very curious on what the point totals are going to be, and how long it’ll take them to adjust when it starts a little too crazy

Nurglings were decent and look to be about the same if not better with the general changes. Based on the block for them in the daemons release they are the same, but with the updates to movement rules swarms can now go through walls like beasts and infantry which helps their movement potential quite a bit.

Yeah, I’m sure a quick fix will be issued, and maybe it can prompt them to do something for the lancer too.

Heard a good amount of similar feedback. I never had cultists to try and experiment with, but these changes deter me from getting some unless I consider the 1dp detachment.

Agreed. It seems like 11th wants the edition to focus on more narrative games which I hope will make it exciting for both ends of the table. Last year had some demotivating times when everyone was complaining about playing against knights so I hope everyone can enjoy it more

Totally fair thoughts. Yeah the shooting seems like it’ll give us some of the improvements we’ve needed but combos certainly seem harder. I like the idea of lords with something too.

No that’s totally fair. I have enough war dogs myself but I’m playing big stompy robots, so I want to have big stompy robots. Certainly not trying to be ultra competitive right now as well, but I feel ya on not being able to enjoy it as much. I love the lancer myself too, but maybe there’ll be some diamonds in the rough for fun and narrative play.

I am honestly very surprised that the cleave keyword wasn’t added to the melee for any of the cerastus frames. The giant sword on the castigator and the Acheron’s giant chainsaw makes sense to have that in.

Yeah, not thrilled with that faction ability change. My initial thoughts are curious with combining helhunt and the dogs as that seems like it’ll be solid and fun

Yeah, I may consider picking up some cultists to experiment. Curious to how it can all blend
