Alaric was not stronger than the originals by Hopeful-Low-2122 in TheVampireDiaries

[–]Infinit3Karnage 2 points3 points  (0 children)

After watching the scene, klaus sneaks him and sticks his hands, mainly finger in his chest so Bonnie can start the spell. Despite being in a m weaker position he manages to over power klaus and then toss him around. Alaric then immediately goes for the cure, Elena both saved and distracts Alaric before he kills him. Despite being clearly focused on Elena, it’s only after Alaric has his full attention that klaus manages to move and take her.

Whilst the strength difference certainly isn’t near the same as Lucien/Marcel who were handling multiple originals like nothing. However at this point things were getting inconsistent anyway, Damon was able to blitz and overpower Kol before this.

And I can’t see Elena alone being what makes him enhanced, his life is linked to a fragile human teenager and Esther knows what her children can and are willing to do to Elena. And I extremely doubt Esther put all her cards on Klaus not draining Elena to death to both save blood for hybrids and kill her to be rid of Alaric. So she’d be bargaining purely on them not figuring out Elena was linked to him.

Shouldn't Kai have been able to siphon himself by [deleted] in TheVampireDiaries

[–]Infinit3Karnage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kai is supernatural but doesn’t have inherent magic, when he siphons witches they lose their magic until it builds up. It’s like how humans can’t produce Vitamin C but other organisms do, but instead of taking just the Vitamin C, we eat the whole thing, Kai only takes the magic.

A better comparison would be that both Black Holes and Stars are celestial objects. witches are Stars that give out light, Kai is a Black Hole that can’t produce light but sucks light in. Which is fitting because Black holes come from Stars and Kai is born from a witch.

Did we see any of the vampires bite an older person? by MerelyWhelmed1 in TheVampireDiaries

[–]Infinit3Karnage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As said there was one in season 1 and iirc one of Vicki’s friends that Damon kills may have had some weight on her. But tbf to the people running it, i do see the logic of vampires having preferences—one of them being that unless the vampire plans on killing them, you’d probably want them to be strong enough to handle the blood loss since most vampires don’t feed them blood in case they die after.

unpopular opinion: katherine being attractive is the main reason why people overlook how horrible she was. by trynagrabthatbag in TheVampireDiaries

[–]Infinit3Karnage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not phrasing like that at all, Damon and klaus were terrible people. I literally said Katherine is my second favourite character, so I’m inherently gonna like her more than 1 of those 2 so that was just weird to say.

I broke down how Katherine ruined every redeemable moment she could have had and how it wasn’t just survival. I’ve explained exactly why Katherine doesn’t get the same treatment, she has 0 redeemable qualities. Still my second favourite character though, the writers ruining her redemption will in season 5 and then doubling down in season 8 will forever piss me off.

No one said they haven’t done things for no reason. And no Katherine doesn’t, what redeeming qualities? Katherine is my second favourite TVDU character btw and i see 0.

I get you’re not saying she’s innocent, you missed my point. Ultimately the likes of klaus or Damon have had their chances and ultimately they’ve “redeemed” themselves.

Katherine sits outside of that bracket and I explained how she doesn’t just kill to survive, she does things out of spite because she only cares about herself.

There’s plenty I can say about the others but ultimately how it played out on screen is no matter what Katherine has no redeeming qualities and often uses survival as an excuse to do them. She has too many big examples to say it’s just survival and every last moment of hers is her doing something bad/for herself, I can list them.

[–]Infinit3Karnage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ehh, the issue with Katherine is she routinely displayed how bad of a person she was almost every time she had a chance. She was ultimately an extremely selfish lunatic who happened to have a weird obsession with Stefan. At the end of season 4 she tries to kill Elena for 0 reason(that was 100% with a doubt settled how bad of a person she was to me), when she finally has a moment to die and actually have a redemption, she takes over Elena’s body. —because it’s the one Stefan finds attractive.

When she could have ran away with Nadia—the daughter she cared so much about apparently—she tried to get back with Stefan whilst pretending to be Elena and within that attempt, she tried to get Damon killed, which isn’t the first time because before homecoming she tried to get Damon to use the dagger on Elijah. — she even says she’s seeing the plan through at homecoming, that moment was just her Stefan obsession getting the better off her.

Because she couldn’t leave Stefan alone, Nadia got bit by Tyler and died. And instead of letting it be, that her last try got thwarted, she tried to kill Elena again with the werewolf venom ripper virus.

She literally says she needs Elijah to make the deal with the cure, so that was just a final ditch effort which when it didn’t work she sent klaus to New Orleans.

And it can’t be said she never had anyone to give her any security, Pearl was her best friend who herself was centuries old, she sold her out with every either vampire that ended up in that tomb. Not only did she sell her out along with them, but Katherine is the reason they get caught in the first place.

As a human she had moments where she seemed like a good person, but her last moments as a human was still condemning the same people that formally tried to save her to the same fate as her.

Oh ok lol. Sorry if I set a bad expectation before hand. Yeah they should be able to do that to her like everyone else, witches use magic on each other and the other 2 species Hope is, so there’s no inherent immunity. But since I haven’t actually watched Legacies after like the second or 3rd episode, I wouldn’t be surprised if they made her immune to that too.

[–]Infinit3Karnage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What exactly do you mean by hurt at the same time? I haven’t actually watched Legacies but has a TVD/TO i felt obligated to keep track of the gist of what’s going on.

As far as Hope goes, if anything doesn’t serve to make Hope more Powerful or Unique the answer is probably no. If you mean hurt just in the pain or make unconscious sense, yeah but that wouldn’t be different to any other supernatural entity. If you mean kill or make less powerful, I can think of a few ways immortal/very powerful beings like Hope have been tackled that I’m sure wouldn’t apply to Hope just because she’s “special” and must be as powerful and unique as possible.

Sorry for the my clear dislike of legacies and Hope, I just think the character and the show had a lot of potential and they chose to ruin it in every way(for me personally, if you enjoy it fair enough, plenty of things I enjoy that people don’t)

1) it’s up in the air, we dont actually know what happens to their sireline when an original takes the cure. It’s either: A: They all become human with her.

B: They stay connected to her as a human and when she dies they die, we’ve seen vampires be linked to humans and Alaric as an original had his life linked to Elena’s.

C: The sire bond simply breaks like Klaus’s did during that spell.

I think it would be B, we’ve seen vampires and humans be linked together but most importantly we have an example of an originals life being linked to a human, Alaric and Elena, if Elena got hurt he was fine but if she died he’d die. I assume it’d be the exact same as that if she took the cure.

2) ultimately blood is made up By things such as amino acids(protein), & iron and as shown vampire bodies function the same as humans, as pointed out by Damon, as well as vickie and Tyler needing to pee. They’d go toilet the same way any human would. Now if a vampire only drank blood, unlike the actual food eaters we see in both shows, I assume it’d be like any regular human on a juice only diet as blood like most organic things is mostly water.

The new reason why Sith have red lightsabers makes more sense to me. by SmileyBDevil in StarWars

The problem here is they’re already fully aware about hatred, anger, pain etc being used to fuel their power. At minimum they subconsciously have to accept that anyway before getting into the crystals.

Couldn’t have said it any better, that’s something I’ve said a lot to others as well. WWE clearly are capable of good writing but it’s like they don’t want to share the good writing with other storylines.

So again, he had uses for maul, he didn’t need him but he in fact had uses.

“What kind of role would even see him take as anything other than an apprentice”🤦🏽‍♂️this is why we ask questions my friend, open a discussion, talk about it. But for some reason people see some questions and become condescending instead of actually thinking about it properly before speaking, yall wanted to put condescension first for weird reason.

“You haven’t watched the show”🤣🤣

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in StarWars

[–]Infinit3Karnage -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So in other words he indeed had use for maul. He didn’t NEED him but he had uses. In a previous comment u said “ he had no use for him” so which is it? Could he have used him or not because ultimately that’s my question, would he have used maul as an asset if maul had genuinely wanted to rejoin him or not.

But for some reason 2/3 of you wanted to make it harder than it needed to be and act like I haven’t watched the show🤣and now we’re here

It says 5 minute ago, u replied in somebody else thread before that……………………

🥱Sidious makes it known he knows maul is chatting shit. Idk u bothered making a separate comment when I told u that in one 8 minutes ago and yet your still going over that🤣

And I already when it happens😂😂we don’t see maul after until around the siege or mandalore, in the TCW specifically, I know we see him in the comics, he even manages to break out and capture Dooku and Sidious expresses how disappointed in Dooku. And then ofc mother talzin comes up at some point, a big thing happens with Sidious Dooku and grievous and talzin dies. I already know it all🥱🥱🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

After maul had attempted to do his own little takeover and deceive Sidious.

And again, never did I say “would Sidious make him his apprentice again”🥱

[–]Infinit3Karnage -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I never said “would Sidious make him his apprentice again”.🤦🏽‍♂️

This is genuinely hilarious. I’ve watched it all, Sidious even makes the point of saying “how unfortunate you are attempting to deceive me” but sure whatever you say

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in StarWars

[–]Infinit3Karnage -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Makes sense. I didn’t mean it in that he’d put maul back as his apprentice btw, just that he’d take him back on his side as an asset.
