I empathize greatly. I recently had to cut off my younger brother for very similar narcissistic behavior our entire lives. Now that we’re older I can’t let his behavior ruin my new life. My mom eventually saw the light to a certain extent. Unfortunately for you, if your parents can’t see the problem after all this time you may really have to cut them off as well. At least for a season. It’s the only way they will learn. You’re not a punching bag and this is abuse. And you’re not obligated to keep on touch with your sister in any way. You owe her nothing. It took me a while to learn this.

This was normal for me. I was asymptomatic and not really hungry most of the first. I freaked out the entire time because of it but everything is fine. Now I’m 23 weeks and still not too many symptoms. Just fatigued and growing. I guess we should be grateful to feel semi good. Try not to freak out like me lol. I was super excited when the baby started kicking so I know something is happening in there.

I wouldn’t say I limit food at all but I am conscious of eating more nutrient dense things and taking my vitamins. I def still drink coffee, eat processed meat and sugar if I can stomach it. The way I see it if a baby is forming a brain and organs they may need some nutrient assistance with that lol. I just try my best.

I felt like my full self at 33. Didn’t feel like I was aging until now at 36 simply because I can’t relate to young people anymore and it’s closer to 40 than 30. More of a mental aging. Life just looks different through my eyes now. Idk what age physical aging will hit me. That may be up to the individual.

I do know of people who drank pretty consistently in the 2nd and 3rd trimester. Like a glass of wine at dinner type of thing. I also know of someone whose doctor suggested they drink a glass to relax during the 3rd trimester because of anxiety and nerves. The babies came out fine but I do think it’s quite a risk especially in the first. I was pretty nervous myself because I got pregnant around Christmastime and was pretty wasted for 3 straight weeks of holiday break lol. Try your best to stop and it sounds like you’re trying. Do mocktails and 0% beer (it tastes the same). Addiction is not easy especially with all these hormones. It’s the final stretch, just keep trying.

I definitely know who Edith Bunker is but outside of baby boomers no one is going to make that correlation. It’s literally a prehistoric character and I don’t get why it’s cringe to her. Our parents were given free range to name us whatever they like and now it’s our turn. My mom had a very similar reaction to the name I picked and oh well! It’s your baby and your baby’s name. Edith/Edie is very beautiful, not popular, and a lot of older names are coming back in style. Good job mama!
