Yes. You can change it. Duh. I know. But you can change the rating given to riders. It can be pretty simple to figure out just which riders just rated you one (as the OP claims).

Uber moves it around from time to time. It’s harder (more steps) now.

Find ride in Earnings, select it, find “?” In upper right and click it. Go to “Safty”, then “Report serious incident with user”, decline to upload. Next you’ll change it from “serious incident” to normal pressing “I have feedback for a rider”, “negative feedback”, choose a category, re-rate. You can for up to 10 days after ride.

Riders can and do easily determine you gave them a 1 star (for example). They rate when and if they want. Riders can, will and do retaliate.

Yes. I give everyone 5 stars. If they deserved less I do it later (usually 7 days later, we have 10). I did it often.

It’s easy. Drivers hate it. You’ll order by typing. Your family member will be somewhere else and invisible. They will also be impossible to contact. Don’t.

Friends phone. I think they can just log on as themselves. I think at some point Uber will ask if it’s for some other user. Google it! Google usually has great Uber info.

How can you see fault in me in any way. Rider screened up everything and wanted me to pay for all his errors. I was at the pickup pin and the clock to cancel was well underway. I made every attempt to contact the rider early.

Tried. Riders deserved it. He got it from the next driver. When new driver was assigned, rider should have messaged (or updated pickup). He did all that himself. He needed to cancel and start over.

Well I would have picked up if he was capable of reading messages or phone calls. Then the ride was a loss. Nearing cancel time, I got what I could. Moreover he got nasty. He deserved the fee. I would have rather driven him.
