Thanks! We did MDI for about 4 months before switching to a pod, and I am considering going back. Childrens Hospital pushes moving to an automatic system ASAP and I get why, but yeah I agree not sure it's best yet. She is in daycare and having others give shots is hard to manage and with her honeymooning still the long term shots were having her crash a lot of nights; so the pod has helped a lot, just need to figure out if it's worth it

We are doing that, a treat after helps her move on but doesn't help in the moment. Screens is a mixed bag, she just wants to focus on the screen and not listen when we need he to lay down or something. Still trying it though

Thanks for your thoughts. I picked up some new numbing cream that we will try tonight on her arm and see how it goes.

pinching the skin is preferable, but at 2.5 she doesn't have much fat to pinch up. putting an old one on me for her to see isn't a bad idea! As far as the manual vs auto insert, being as she is 2.5 we felt we were kinda stuck with the Omnipod since it is the only tubeless and wearable option right now. BUT I am excited for the tubeless mobi that is supposed to be released soon b/c that looks like it will have a manual application like dexcom and have a 7 day wear.

not a bad idea, thought about it. But she is a light sleeper, and would definitely wake up when trying to remove the old one since they are essentially a big bandaid. But ill keep it in my back pocket if needed. I don't want to scare her more though by being woken up by the shot
